Hi!
It is a GORGEOUS day outside…perfect for a run! I wish I could run two days in a row! Hopefully this week will stay this nice and I’ll be able to take advantage of it in a few days. How is everyone’s Sunday going? This morning before church I made a quick breakfast of two Kashi Go Lean Strawberry Flax waffles with a tbsp of almond butter and a glass of reduced fat milk with carnation instant breakfast
I haven’t had Carnation Instant Breakfast in YEARS and only had it today because I was at Ryan’s and he didn’t have any fruit or anything to go with my waffle and I knew that a waffle sandwich alone wouldn’t be enough to fill me up. I try to stay away from artificial things like CIB, but once in awhile it won’t kill me! It actually tasted pretty darn amazing today…not gonna lie!
Church was great and afterwards I needed a little snack
I love these Luna Sunrise bars….they are delicious! I much prefer them to the standard Luna Bars, actually. They do a good job holding over my appetite as well!
Ryan and I ran some errands and then headed over to our weekly spot for lunch, PITA PIT! They were out of whole wheat pitas though (GASP!) so I had my usual on white instead. Half hummus, half babaganoush, pickles, avocado, lettuce, black olives, feta cheese, banana peppers, onions and hot sauce!
Whenever I eat at Pita Pit, I always request a LOT of hummus because I never seem to get enough to keep me full! Today, however, the guy really layered it on! He was like, “i don’t know if you can handle this…” and I assured him that I am the pita queen and have the appetite of an Olympian. However, this pita was HUGEEEEE and I had to stop and leave a few bites. Seriously, I have never had a hummus pita this full. The pita weighed like five pounds! It was awesome 🙂
Ryan and I are heading to the Y right now to swim some laps…gotta break in the new one piece! See you for dinner!

March 22, 2009 at 10:47 amI only eat the sunrise bars of Luna usually! They have much better nutritionals too w/ the extra fiber! I used to have carnation ALL the time when I was young..now I really want one!

March 22, 2009 at 11:22 amThat waffle sandwich does look so delicious!! I need to stock up on waffles once I’m back home over summer!!
And ohh I’m so jealous that your pita pit has babaganoush, the one by my college stopped using it for some reason so I always just get mine w/ hummus, dijon mustard and hot sauce + all the veggies!

March 22, 2009 at 1:40 pmJenna-
I just wanted to say I have been eating the breakfast cookies like crazy lately!!! They didn’t work too well at first, but I found that choc. chips make it ten times better 🙂 Also, since you like oatmeal so much, I think you should try adding unsweetened cocoa powder, choc. whey protein, and splenda…delicious. Have a great rest of your day.
