Breakfast

Playing With Your Food

Ahhh finally Saturday 🙂

Today I’m celebrating my birthday with Ryan so I’m excited. He is surprising me with dinner tonight—for the first time, I have no idea where we are going to eat. I always am the one that picks the restaurant, so this is a big step! Its really nice out so we will probably just relax by the pool today. I didn’t work out because I’ve already worked out 6 times this week and that is enough for me! Instead I just woke up and had breakfast and tea right away instead. I toasted two HempPlus waffles and sliced strawberries and bananas on top along with some walnut pieces and maple syrup, of course!

Last night in school we started molding some chocolate to practice for our modeling chocolate cake we are doing next week. The chocolate is so odd…and cool! Its basically dark chocolate mixed with glucose to make it tacky. It felt like working with clay and it doesn’t really stick on your hands or anything. A few pieces did find their way to my mouth though! 😉 I molded a sheep and a hen for my cake. I’m making a veggie cake with chocolate molded farm animals and a billboard that says “Eat your veggies!” with a picture of veggie tales on it!! Hehe 🙂 We have to do a cocoa painting so that’s the point of the billboard. I’m molding a cow, a hen, a sheep and a pig. The chocolate was pretty easy to work with so I think it will be fine. I saved my pieces from last night to work more on them on Monday.

Have fun celebrating your birthday! Your sheep and hen are so cute!! Clay is hard… I did ceramics for years, and sculpting can be really difficult..so neat that it is edible though! happy saturday!

All the animals look adorable, real and molded! I love Dexter’s little white chest patch. I’m sure Ryan will pick a fabulous place to eat tonight! Have a great day!

Aww, I love the way the sheep and hen are tilted at the camera…..like they are poking out of a barn or something. So cute!
