Hey Jenna, I have been reading your post for a little while but I never comment. However, I just wanted to tell you to keep up the swimming. I was a lifeguard for five years and after you get used to the breathing part of swimming(since its totally different than running), it will be A LOT better. I can swim well over a mile now easily and I don't feel like it was a lot of work to get that far once I got used to the rhythmic breathing since I was already in shape from other things like running and dancing.

The dancers on our tour use those foam rollers all the time. They can't live without them!

Thanks for the swimming inspiration! I've been telling myself for a week that I'm going to go swimming but I haven't got around to it yet. I'll try to go this weekend! What are "kickboard"?

Foam rollers rock! they can help prevent future injuries too especially since the legs have so many muscles that are pretty hard to stretch out properly.

Congratulations on the e-cookbook!

I have had a foam roller for years, since PT for an injury. If you have any tips on exercises to use it, I would love to hear!

Hi, I just discovered your blog today and I think it's great! I'm a fellow runner, swimmer, and healthy eater (though I just went vegetarian, plus fish).
The foam roller is fantastic! I've been using it for about a year now, in conjunction with a tennis ball (that hurts even more!) and it's done wonders for my tissue. The Core Performance program uses a lot of foam rolling in their 'regeneration' segment.
Anyway, love your blog; I've added it to the blogroll on mine!

I bought that same red foam roller, but it got lumpy, mishapen and soft very quickly. On the recommendation of my pilates instructor, I ordered this one: http://www.amazon.com/Elite-Molded-Rollers-3Long-popular/dp/B000HLR258/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1238690642&sr=8-2 which has been much better at working out the kinks in my legs, but certainly more painful as it is a firmer roller.
