Hey guys!
Hope everyone had a great Thursday. It was my last day of work at the winery until 2010…crazy! I was sort of running around like a chicken with its head cut off this morning and didn’t have time to pack a lunch so I ran to the General Store right before work to grab a sandwich.
The veggie veggie!
This sandwich is my faaaavorite! It has all sorts of veggies on it, plus cilantro hummus, guacamole and pepperjack cheese. So good. 🙂
Snack was a bar from the depths of my purse—
And after work I headed to Adam and Rocky’s for some homemade fried chicken! The guys got to work in the kitchen—
Adam made these delicious crab cakes with dungeness crab at work today and seared them off at the house. Paired them with some KJ chardonnay for a little appetizer:
Rocky fried the chicken and I made the mashed potatoes!
We also had grilled broccolini—
It was seriously some of the BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had!!!
I also made some brownies with Kodiak mix!!
These were delicious and 100% whole wheat…the guys loved them too!
My belly is very happy right now 🙂

The weather is supposed to get really icky tonight and tomorrow. I miss my Florida sunshine!

Hahah, you’re not missing too much in Florida (I’m from Orlando). It’s been pretty murky and nastaay down here! Cold, murky, but still nice? 🙂 I kind of love Florida when it’s a bit nippy and dark, I’m a bit weird 🙂

December 11, 2009 at 1:05 amThat all looks so delicious! So lucky to have ‘the boys’ closeby and that they can cook. Fried chicken–yum. It’s already raining here in Carmel but sounded nice on the roof and windows as I did lots of updates on my blog including adding a prawns and pasta recipe. Looked up factoids on the California fishing industry [speaking of Dung. Crabs–big day in SF the start of the season] and discovered that Monterey is the only place in Calif where harvest spot prawns all year…in southern Calif it’s seasonal. I always miss sun in the rain too, but, then after the rain it’s so beautiful.

Guess I’ll need to take a trip to the south soon!

December 11, 2009 at 1:52 pmI didn’t want to reply on your other thread because there are so many posts. I just wanted to let you know that Safeway sells Kodiak cakes for $5.99, but it’s almost always on sale for $4.99. It’s way cheaper than what you said you’ve been paying.
