Hey yall!
I just got home from dinner with the “rents” (haha) and it was SO good! They definitely spoiled me! We went to a tiny Italian place on the beach and of course we all ordered pizza, which I had been hearing about for weeks now. It did not disappoint! š
I started off with a house salad with creamy onion dressing on the side:
A large glass of this delicious wine—it was a Super Tuscan and was incredibly light bodied and fruity! I had one glass but, let me stress, she had a heavy hand. It was probably a little much when I have to wake up at 5:45 tomorrow!
And then…….pizza! They do individualized pizzas there so it was perfect! You could pick 5 toppings—-I chose goat cheese and fresh mozzarella, mushrooms, kalamata olives and sundried tomatoes:
Drool! The crust was paper thin and reminded me of the pizzas Ryan and I loved to order when we were in Nice. I had 4 slices but picked apart the remaining two slices so I didn’t take any home. It was amazing!
And for dessert……I had an after 8 mint at home. Not pictured, sorry!
For a snack earlier I was staaaarving and had a big bowl of fage with H2H and peanut butter:
I also had about half a glass of wine before dinner when I was sitting outside reading. It’s SO gorgeous here this time of year!
I NEED to get a bath in and get to bed! Tomorrow is one of those days where Adam is taking off and I rule the kitchen (haha yeah right). Even though IĀ know I’m capable of doing it all, it still stressed me out a teensy bit just because I know it’s all me. Adam said he was leaving me a loong to-do list tomorrow so I’m hoping I can get it all done! Wish me luck! š
Have a wonderful evening and a great morning tomorrow, lovies! Gas prices are goin’ down a bit….I’m a happy camper!

October 15, 2008 at 1:19 amThat pizza looks amazing. Its good they let you pick 5 toppings, I hate it when places only tell you to pick a couple. I always want to order all of the options instead of having to pick an choose! š
Have fun ruling the kitchen tomorrow!

October 15, 2008 at 3:31 amI LOVE MARGARET GEORGE!!!!!!!!!!
I read her Memoirs of Cleopatra in the FOURTH GRADE and have read everybook since, and Cleo again in high school! (I’m 23 now!)
Here’s the weird thing, Margaret George is one of the few FEMALE writers I enjoy,. For some reason I tend not to like books by women authors. I’m not sure why?! Have you ever noticed reacting differently towards a book depending on an author’s sex? And certainly I don’t purchase books looking at pen names and guessing at sex, but sometimes I’ll be reading a book and then I’ll check to see if the author is male or female and I’ll think aha! I knew it! (for either way)

October 15, 2008 at 3:05 pmPizza looks amazing!! I heard an interesting theory regarding the dropping gas prices… someone told me that around the time of year when there are presidential elections coming up, the gas prices always drop because the politicians are all doing the best they can to show the tangible good that they can do for us if picked. Then a few months after elections are over the the new president is secured in office the gas prices rise slightly to a level closer to what it had been a few months back. It’ll be interesting to see if this happens… I certainly hope not!!!

October 15, 2008 at 3:45 pmHi Jenna! I read all the time, but rarely comment. I love your blog!!!! š It’s amazing to see such a different life-path, you know? I’m so glad you are living the dream, tho, and now that you’re pretty much finished with school, it’s real-world excitement. š
I love seeing the different wines you feature, and I wanted to let you know that one of the best female runners EVER (deena kastor) drinks wine every night!!! obvi not a lot, but a glass with dinner. she was featured as one style of “what to eat” in a runner’s world i just read. so… it’s interesting, i guess it’s personal, some people feel like they should limit alcohol as an athlete, and others just incorporate it into their overall lifestyle. š just some thoughts.
