Sweat It Out

by jenna on September 22, 2009

Hey hey!

Wow, I forgot how HOT Bikram is!!!! 105 degrees, thank you very much. I think I sweat out every toxin that has ever been in my body. It was awesome. :)

Before I practiced, I had this lovely bar:

And afterwards, in all my sweaty smelly glory, I had a big yogurt bowl with a Voskos, 1/4 cup Ezekiel cereal, 1/4 cup Udi’s granola, dried cherries and almond butter:

Yogurt. It’s whats for dinner. I may or may not have had a piece of organic dark chocolate for dessert that missed the camera’s eye ;)

I love how CLEAN you feel after Bikram. I went in all stressed out and I left….still a little stressed, yes, but feeling like a whole new person. Maybe when I’m in Santa Rosa next week I can hit up the Santa Rosa Bikram College of India studio….that would be fun!

I’m off to read, pack and organize my life. See you in the morning!

I’m glad you had a wonderful yoga session :) .

I love dried cherries. They tie with dried strawberries for my favorite dried fruit!

Have a lovely evening.

Yogurt messes have been great quick dinners for me this week! I love that I can add whatever I feel like and for some reason, almost anything goes!

Hey! I’m dying to try Bikram but scared because I’m a relative newbie to yoga. How long do you recommend someone practice before her first Bikram experience?

Your yogurt bowl looks like the perfect post-sweat fest meal!

I LOVE NOR CAL. Oddly, I hate when people call it Nor Cal so I’m not sure why I just typed that. You are going to have SUCH a great time, and I can’t wait for your big announcement!

I did yoga for a few months, and I really want to get back into it! Suggestions on how to find a good class? I’m especially intrigued to try Bikram…

I love thos post Bikram feel. I felt like Jell-O without a care in the world. And the food I ate after Bikram tasted the best I’ve had in a while.

I’ve never tried Bikram, but if I ever have the chance to visit a studio I’d love to give it a shot.

Ah, that is my absolute favorite yoga in teh world- Bikram is so amazing. I do it at least 3-4 times a week, esp now that I cannot run .

On a sidenote, Jenna do you possibly have an email bc I am a student writing an article on runners dealing with injuries, and would love to speak with you if possible. Please let me know one way or another if you can. Thanks~!!

I hear ya. I went to Bikram today after work (after avoiding yoga for six days, for some reason) and it felt awesome.
Good luck with all you going on and coming up!

I am dying to try ‘hot’ yoga! It seems intimidating, but also soooo worth it.

In my opinion, a yogurt meal is great any time of the day :-)
