Behind The Butter

Tea Time

If all is going as planned (and I’m really, really, REALLY hoping that it is), I’m on my way to San Francisco right now and about to board a nonstop flight to Philly for the weekend! I get to hang out with Sabrina, Tina and Anne plus some of you lovely local readers! Totally excited and more than ready for a mini-vacay.

I get into Philly at 5:00 EST and will be picked up by the lovely Sabrina. It’s going to be a game-time decision if I’ll accompany the girls to Sabrina’s Body Pump class tomorrow night and then we have a fun dinner out at Stella! I’ve never been to Philly before so I’m psyched!

And now for the fun promotion while I’m up in the air!

Y’all know how much I love the organic Earl Gray and French Breakfast teas I’ve been drinking lately. I love it so much that I worked out a deal with the company and Open Sky to bring you a special promotion that’s only good for today and tomorrow!

Because it’s a special group sale, 10 people need to sign up to buy this tea package before the discount goes into effect. When you sign up to buy, you aren’t charged…when 10 people sign up, the discount will go through and then you will be charged the discount price of $30 instead of $40.

Here’s what you get in the special package:

1 oz. Organic French Breakfast Black Tea

1 oz. Organic Organic Earl Gray

1 gallon pouch Organic Bergamot Black Iced Tea
Cha Cha Choice Teapot, 16 oz—Includes an infuser and hinged lid

It’s a great deal in my book and I love the little teapot they are throwing in there. Here’s the link to the promotion!
See you from PHILLY!

On the subject of tea, I love it! Especially in the summer when I have trouble staying hydrated. Somehow I always drink more when I’m having tea. 🙂
I posted my first recipe review if anyone is interested. It’s about granola!

Have fun in Philly. I’ve never been able to spend much time there even though I have lived on the East Coast for six years.

Hi Jenna! love your blog-but never comment! I live near the Philly area and went to college there, but I am unable to make the blogger meet up tomorrow…So bummed. You will love Philly. It’s a great city. I also wanted to recommend a book to you that I just finished. You may have heard/or read it..The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. It’s an easy, quick read told from a dog’s perspective. I know you love dogs so I wanted to share it. From one dog lover to another ;o) Safe travels!

I second the book recommendation. It’s not the kind of thing I would normally read, but it was a quick, easy, touching read!

    Hey jenna!!!
I am a Philly reader that lives in Center City and hough I looove STella, you should def check out Zavino while you’re here. It’s another pizza and wine bar that blows the pants off of Stella :). You might also want to test out Amada (Jose Garces) and Mercato (an amazing byo).

I’m sure someone has already mentioned it but just in case – tomorrow kicks off Philly Beer Week!! There are loads and loads of events, lots of hard-to-find microbrews and “meet the brewer” sorts of things, beer dinners and pairings; so many places in the city participate, you should definitely check to see what looks fun!

plus! free yoga in Clark Park on Sunday afternoon, if you’ll still be in town; you can get good and stretched out before you re-cramp on the flight back!
