Adventure Time

by jenna on February 26, 2010

Hey y’all!

Weather is getting really bad here and a huge storm is heading our way, so we are trying to get out as soon as possible. Never fear, we will NOT be taking my little civic up to Tahoe this weekend….a truck is always much better option. And I will not be driving…which is probably for the best seeing I just had my first experience driving with frost on my windshield two months ago. No big deal.

I’ve been pretty busy this morning, trying to get some writing done before the weekend officially begins. I’m up to my ears in editing the first section of the book right now. Can’t wait for the final product! I ate a bowl of ezekiel cereal with banana for breakfast:

And then snacked on a few dried apricots and almonds for a snack (plus a cappuccino!):

The winner of the final Sonoma County Restaurant Week giveaway is……..comment number 40—Stacy!! Stacy, please email me your mailing address and I’ll get your gift certificate out to you stat. :)

Unfortunately I have stepped down from the Healthy Living Summit committee and won’t be in attendance this year. This has absolutely nothing to do with the girls (they are some of my best friends!) or the Summit itself, but for reasons I can’t express right now. Don’t worry, I’ll fill everyone in soon….! It’s exciting stuff, I assure you. ;)

Camera is charged and ready to go…..time for an adventure!

Have a blast in Tahoe- such a beautiful place! I gotta go find me some Ezekiel cereal! All I can find is the bread + muffins. Cereal sounds yummo.

I cant wait to hear this exciting news!!! I looovvveee sacking on almonds and apricots. I think I said this before but i love stuffing the almonds into the apricots. you get the chewy crunchy goodness of flavor. AMAZING! Especially good along side coffee :( Only another month or so until Lent is over and I can enjoy, although I have to say, after a week of not drinking caffeinated beverages (including tea!) I feel great!

Also, I’m absolutely obsessed with dried apricots. They’re the best dried fruit in my opinion. So plump, sweet, and chewy!

Have fun on your Tahoe trip!! If you are snowboarding, remember to NOT put out your arms when you fall, otherwise you can break your wrist-ouch! Your experienced snowboarding friends should tell you this.
Sorry to hear you are not going to the Healthy Living Summit this year. I was hoping to go so I could meet my favorite bloggers, that being you, Tina, and Kath. Can’t wait to hear your exciting news of why you’ll be elsewhere during the summit.
