Valentine’s Love

hi guys!

First thing this morning I did get the chance to do 50 minutes of free flowing yoga on my own. I was actually quite proud of myself because I totally just winged it as I went! I think I spent the first 20 minutes doing sun salutations (A and B) and then for the remainder of the time I did some fun vinyasas that included all my favorites—half moon, revolved half moon, standing splits, triangle, reversed triangle, shoulder stand, plow pose and three loooong full wheels. Back bends are great for your HEART and what better day to honor your heart than a day like today?!

Here’s my Valentine’s Day yoga itunes playlist:

All you have is your soul—tracy chapman

His grace is sufficient—jennifer knapp

You found me—the fray (LOVE THIS!)

Love song for a savior—jars of clay

Revelation—third day

refine me—jennifer knapp

Pray out loud—jessica simpson (don’t hate)

Love is my religion—ziggy marley

The heart of the matter—India Arie

Flying Home—chantal kreviazuk

I could sing of your love forever—sonicflood

I just have to add that Third Day is one of my favorite bands EVER and they still go down in the book as giving the best concert ever. I saw them live when I was a freshman in college (we all took a road-trip to Raleigh to see them) and they were a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Their new cd, Revelation, is the best yet and yall should definitely check it out!

After yoga, I treated myself to a skim milk cappuccino (with two packets of sugar in the raw) at the coffee shop around the corner. I have decided I am a TOTAL cappuccino girl, rather than a latte girl. I just looove that foam! I always ask for extra 🙂

And then Ryan totally busted the dinner surprise and accidentally told me where we are going! OOPS! Here is a link to the restaurant—I am SO excited because it looks totally amazing and I already know what I’m getting but I’m not telling so it can be a surprise!

Unfortunately though the weather outside is not boat conducive so we will be driving :(. I don’t know what happened! It was SO pretty yesterday and even this morning! For lunch, we picked up pita pit and I had my favorite hummus/babaganoush combo on whole wheat with lettuce, onion, pickles, hot peppers, black olives, banana peppers, feta, avocado and hot sauce. Yummy chips, too!

And then after lunch we played tennis for an hour and a half and I WON!!!!!!!!! Woop woop! I totally beat Ryan 7 to 4 and he is the best loser I know. He gave me a kiss instead of a handshake and accepted his loss with grace. 😉 Afterwards I snacked on this beauty:

I’m getting ready to hop into the shower now and get ready for dinner seeing as we have an incredibly early reservation! I hope everyone is enjoying their Valentine’s Day and I will see you later on!

I’m jealous that you’re so advanced with yoga. I think it’s going to take me quite a while to have the ability to bust out my own practice. I tried doing it one time and it didn’t work very well.

Those kisses were well deserved. Go Tennis Girl!

    Have an awesome night tonight.

    Huge hugs!

Aww, my boyfrend and I are like you guys — we’ve been together for almost 3 years, but this was our first Valentine’s Day we spent together. I thought it made the holiday even more special because we appreciated the fact that we were together so much more.

That pita looks delicious! I might have to try and recreate it. 🙂
