What I’m Reading Now

So, I know I owe you guys some serious book posts! I’m so sorry I’ve slacked off in that department these past few months. Honestly? I just haven’t found my reading groove and didn’t want to post “blah” books on here. However, I’ve now read a few awesome novels in a row and am excited to share them with you guys, starting with this one — Me Before You. It was a great one.

A few weeks ago, I had three different people in one day recommend this book to me so I figured it was meant to be….and it was! I loved, loved, LOVED this book. It’s set in England and is about a girl who becomes a caregiver for a quadriplegic man. I don’t want to give too much away so just read it! I finished this is two days because I was so hooked. I love the story and felt very invested in the characters. If you’re looking for a new read, I highly suggest giving this a try! I felt like the ending was truly unpredictable, which I loved, and I felt sad when the book ended — a sign of a good read, for sure.

What about you? What are you reading now? I’m on a roll and always need suggestions! I actually just started Gone Girl two days ago and so far, find it fascinating.

I absolutely adored this book. I read it last winter and – like you – couldn’t put it down. I also highly recommend her new book, The Girl You Left Behind. Especially since I know how much you love historical fiction. Happy reading!

I’m reading south of normal and though I’m not done it’s really good! It’s a true story about the author going to live in Costa Rica to write his book.

I was depressed for a week after I read this book. I was hoping for a different ending but I knew my version was probably too good to be true. :-/ Very good read though.

I got that book a couple of months ago from e library & LOVED IT! I, too, finished it in just a couple days. Her new book just recently came out & definitely need to get ahold of that. I did read Gone Girl, as well – I loved it, until the ending…

I’m currently reading Covet by Tracey Garvis Graves – she also wrote another great book a couple years ago called The Island that you should read, if you haven’t already :)

If you like Gone Girl you should try Dark Places (same author!).

This is a stupid question: is it scary? I enjoyed Gone Girl and Dark Places sounds super interesting but I’m a huge chicken and don’t know how far she delves into “Satanic cult”.

Have you watched the French film The Intouchables? Sounds similar to the book you read and it’s such an awesome movie. It’s on Netflix!

Hey Jenna, do you ever read any health/nutrition or yoga type books? Any suggestions?

P.S I enjoy your blog. I recently lost a close sibling and it’s of some comfort I’m not alone…and you can come out smiling again one day.

I’m so, so sorry for your loss. I don’t read a lot of health books, actually! I’m more of a fiction girl :)

Have you ever read “Code Name Verity” or “Rose Under Fire?” Both are technically young adult books, but they are so incredibly good! They are about female pilots during World War II. Both are really intense, and I flew through them!

I LOVED “The Night Circus.” One of those haunting books that has stayed with me for a long time.

Also highly recommend Kate Morton’s “The Secret Keeper.” It’s female-centered historical fiction.

I just read “Me Before You” as well! I truly enjoyed it and Gone Girl is also an excellent book. I am reading Proust and the Squid right not. Learning all about our reading brains and doing some non-fiction.

I’m also reading Angelina’s Bachelors and the Husband’s Secret.
