This morning I packed up my things and vacated the premises. There was water everywhere and, frankly, it was starting to smell. I felt bad for leaving Dexter behind but it was every man for himself (herself?)!
While the plumber worked, I took up a temporary office in Starbucks:
Chugged some SuperFood (and tea):
And ate the lunch I had packed for myself!
Gina is obsessed with this millet bread so I thought I would give it a try. I like things with a Fitnessista stamp of approval 🙂 I made a yummy almond butter and jelly sandwich on it and really liked it! The bread is pretty small…but dense! And very filling. Sort of sweet too (it is fruit juice sweetened) and was really yummy toasted.
I’m off to get a few more pages done before I have to be at the studio at 4:00…then I’m taking a 90 minute power class at 6:00. See you later!

January 20, 2010 at 3:13 pmI’m so glad you brought a lunch to Starbucks. My husband is on the road all day, so he usually eats in the car. I keep telling him it’s OK to eat in Starbucks if he orders a drink. I’ll have to let him know he won’t be the only one!

Errr yesterday!!! My dinosaur macbook finally hit the dust and I upgraded. I felt like I both won and lost at the same time leaving the apple store. Le sigh.

January 20, 2010 at 5:16 pmI would be crying in a fetal position right now if I had stench in my apt. 🙁 Hope it all works out. BTW I NEVER bring food into another food/drink establishment cause I get embarrassed. Kudos for being healthy and ballsy. 🙂

January 20, 2010 at 5:16 pmI’ve been wanting to try millet since I saw it on Gina’s page too. When I saw it in the store, though, it looked small like you said. I think I may have to give it a try anyway =) I definitely don’t discriminate when it comes to BREAD, haha!

January 20, 2010 at 7:48 pmOOOhhh, I LOVE that millet bread. It is sweet like you said and oh so tasty when combines with nut butters. I totally agree that it is dense and filling. The company that makes that bread makes other breads with a few different grains and they are pretty good too, well, at least as good as gluten free bread can be. 🙂

Second, I love that you eat bread. So many bloggies avoid it like the plaque…and uh it’s bread. It’s good. Don’t overthink it. (and personally nothing pairs better with nut butters…).
