Woah Nelly!

Well if I wasn’t tired before, now I am REALLY exhausted.

Actually, I have a little bit of a sore throat that I’m really really hoping is just me being tired. I don’t want to catch the cold that’s going around! Grr!! Hopefully tomorrow morning I will wake up, seize the day and feel stellar! 🙂 I had a killer workout at the gym lasting about an hour and a half (including spin class!) and burning about 640 calories. Now that’s a workout right there, folks!

I started with some lower body + abs:

couple minutes on the arc trainer to warm up

3 sets of lunges on the bosu ball holding 10 lb dumbbells, 10 reps each set

3 sets of calf raises on machine, 90 lbs, 25 reps each set

3 sets each of abductor and adductor, 60 lbs, 12 reps each set

3 sets of leg press, 130 lbs, 10 reps each set

3 sets of hamstring rolls on stability ball, 15 reps each set

3 sets of hanging crunches, 15 reps each set

3 sets of slow bicycle crunches, 20 reps each set 

And then worked my way into the spinning studio for RPM. I think I should have brought another snack after legs and before spinning though because I was hungry the whole time and basically ate my arm off on the way home!

Like I said, I was STARVING and rummaged through the kitchen like a mad-man to fix dinner. I had a huge spinach salad (about 4 cups spinach?) with Annie’s woodstock dressing!!! I FINALLY found it again after a sad and way too long absence!

And I also had more leftover cauliflower curry atop of roasted butternut squash and parsnips. Not much to look at but it was delicious!

I woofed all this food down in about 3 minutes. Good thing no one was home.

I showered, cleaned up and made dessert—-1/2 cup fage with a crumbled blueberry z-bar and pom seeds

And now I am quite stuffed and very ready for bed. I’m going to go to sleep ridiculously early tonight and love it. I’m basically all packed for the weekend—-I am leaving straight after work tomorrow so I get into Tampa in time to go on my dinner date with Ryan to Greenwise! So, the next time I will be blogging will be from home later tomorrow night.

    I hate when I get home late and I’m starving!! I usually plan my meals but those go out the window if they need to be cooked because I just can’t wait!!! Your dessert sounds delicious. I need to pick up some clifz bars!

    dinner looks great Jenna and what a great work out! You are so inspiring! My workouts are usually 20-25 mins on the elliptical or a run..you make me feel lazy! haha! have so much fun this weekend!! I’ll be studying my ass off for finals..blah

    ahhhh!!! I did lunges with 10lb weights yesterday and my legs are so stinkin sore today?! I guess I haven’t done them in a while! I can’t imagine doing them with the bosu!

    Hoping you avoid this wicked cold going around dearie! I was home from work with my 2 year old son who had it Monday, and now, 3 days later, I can feel that scratchy throat/tight chest thing starting. Take good care, and maybe rest up a day if you need to!
