Behind The Butter/ Breakfast/ Lunch

Breakfast(s) of Champions

Good afternoon!

I’ve had an interesting day! (this seems to be the reoccuring theme here…I’m not complaining). So, I had my standard oatmeal with almond butter early…

IMG_0976

But then…only about an hour later, Kevin texted me, telling me to meet him and Eli for breakfast since all I have done in the past 48 hours is gush over this granola from Hotel Healdsburg! When one of the Top Chef contestants texts you and tells you to come to breakfast, you go to breakfast. It doesn’t matter if you have already eaten…you eat again!

Breakfast numero duo. Granola and yogurt. It was awesome 🙂

And then, right after breakfast, at 9:30, I tagged along with them to a 2 1/2 hour wine and food pairing at Murphy-Goode with Hardy, Dave Ready Jr, Gilian and Matt. Does it seem to you like all I do is eat? Well apparently I do. And I drink wine at 9:30 in the morning.

The things I have to do…..sigh. 😉

Right afterward, I met my friend Michaela for lunch at Cafe Gratitude…….I needed some green power!!!!

IMG_1025

I ordered the largest and greenest juice that I could find, I Am Rejuvenated, which is wheatgrass, apple, ginger, lemon and sparkling water. Mmmmmmm

Along with a bowl of miso soup.

It was AWESOME. I’m in love with this place and can’t believe it’s only 4 blocks from my house. Might be superrrr dangerous!!

I’m about to hop in the shower and get ready for tonight!!! Cocktails are at 5:00 and dinner is at 5:30, prepared by both Eli and Kevin. I can’t wait and feel so honored to have been invited—lots of pictures to come!!

Just had to comment because I was in Healdsburg a few months ago for a very special occasion. The Hotel Healdsburg was one of the more terrible hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Glad that at least their granola is good…Along those same lines, Cyrus was the most incredible dinner of my life. Really enjoying reading about your life out there, it’s a dream of mine that will hopefully come true in the next year or so.

I just bought a huge amount of miso paste and am using it in everything… do you think you could replicate the soup recipe? Any idea what all the ingredients were?
