Happy Thursday!
This morning I decided to seize the day (my friends and I always used to call this “seizing the carpe”) and do 45 minutes of a power yoga download before breakfast. It was chilly at first on my wood floor but after a few vinyasas I shed the fleece and felt my muscles warming up. Now I’m all bendy and warm, sipping my french press on the floor.
My prize after yoga was a hot bowl of almond butter with a side of oats 😉
1/2 cup oats, 1 cup soymilk, 1/2 banana, dried cherries, sea salt, cinnamon, pumpkin butter, almond butter!
Still no camera charger to be found. Grrrrr! Off to work now for a fun day of pouring wine.
See you tonight!

October 22, 2009 at 9:08 amMmmm, pre-breakfast yoga! I’m so sore from a class I took last night in SF. I don’t know what the teacher did to my leg, but yikes can I feel it! I think I’m gonna go eat some cereal with almond butter… maybe it will help me feel better! Enjoy your day.

October 22, 2009 at 9:37 amOoo I use the same bowl for my oats too – except mine’s blue…and doesn’t have a lake of almond butter in it. LOVE IT! All things should have lakes of almond butter in them, no?

October 22, 2009 at 9:43 amYou know, I can’t think of a better way to start the day than flexing and doing (literal) sun salutations. I was going to do yoga podcast tomorrow anyway, but you’ve inspired me to do it before first thing!
Have fun with the Vino! Your new job sounds so lovely.

Do you notice any difference in your exercise stamina on mornings when you’ve had wine the night before versus not?

October 22, 2009 at 10:25 amYou just ate my favorite breakfast – simple but good. Maybe you should invest in a little space heater – it will make a huge difference and doesn’t cost too much. Plus, it uses a lot less electricity than heating up the whole apartment. Just a thought!

October 22, 2009 at 10:31 amIf you can’t find your charger, you can get a new one at a Radio Shack-esque place. They always have something compatible and probably the quickest way to replace instead of ordering and waiting on the mail.

How’d you get started on soy milk, and do you have any kind of objections to normal milk??

October 22, 2009 at 11:27 amHey Jenna-
Not sure if you know this but you can get a generic camera battery charger at places like Radio Shack or Best Buy. It plugs in to the wall and comes with different adapters to fit your actual battery. I hope that helps.

October 22, 2009 at 11:40 amI’m so motivated to commit to yoga now after reading your blog so much and seeing you do it all the time…
I went through a short period where I was doing it every morning when I woke up, but it didn’t really stick…
I think I’ll really commit this time because I always LOVE it when I’m doing it!
