Hi!
I’ve got to keep this quick because Christie and I are about to start the movie! For dinner tonight we went out to French Quarter and it was awesome! We split four appetizers and each had a glass of wine (me pinot noir, her chardonnay) and it was the perfect amount of food and drink.
To start, we actually split a bowl of lobster bisque:
And then the mussels in white wine and garlic sauce:
Tuna sashimi:
And, finally, the world’s BEST caesar salad. Seriously it is amazing…the best I’ve ever had…and I’ve had a ton!
Overall, it was a wonderful dinner and the perfect end to my time here. Christie and I only get to see each other about once a year so this was lot of fun spending the entire week together!
Time to start the movie! See yall in the morning 🙂

By the way I am so amazed at how much you love French-style food! I guess I am not such a fan cause its around me all the time
Haha I guess I will start appreciating it more when its not so accessible anymore!

December 21, 2008 at 6:39 amHey JENNA! I really want to know what you think about the caesar salad and why it is so good! could u post about what makes a good “caesar salad”? i used to be obsessed, but the last time i had one was 1.5 years ago in Mexico where they made the dresing right at our table (using the raw egg recipe :-)) Thanks!!

December 21, 2008 at 11:20 amSeelivelee,
Hmmmm I think this caesar was so amazing because it was so fresh and the dressing was tangy with anchovies….it had bacon bits and pieces of roasted red pepper on it and the salad had the perfect amount of dressing.
