I always love your farmer’s market photos! Our local one opens next weekend and I can’t wait. We have a winter one but it’s almost 30 minutes away, so the local one (5 minutes from home) is where it’s at!

Brenna [fabuleuxdestin] April 30, 2011 at 12:26 pm

Love it! I wish I had better farmer’s markets near me.

Errign April 30, 2011 at 12:35 pm

I wish it was farmer’s market time in New Hampshire. Counting down the days until my Asheville, NC move – any recommendations for things to do/see in AVL?

Elena April 30, 2011 at 12:36 pm

I live in Miami, so we do have markets open pretty much year round, although I’m ashamed to say I haven’t gone yet! I’m dying to go!

laura April 30, 2011 at 12:37 pm

haha the picture of that dog at the end is priceless!

Molly April 30, 2011 at 12:50 pm

What’s more beautiful than bundles of arugula? That dog’s face is priceless!

Love the pics! I can’t wait til’ my local Farmer’s Market is up and running – June is just around the corner – right?!

Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) April 30, 2011 at 1:17 pm

My farmers market is tomorrow. Can’t wait! Love farmers markets and spring time weather…or summer weather. The best!

Enjoy your weekend :)

Baking 'n' Books April 30, 2011 at 1:18 pm

Wait! What’s #6??! Don’t leave me hanging 😉

Do you live close to your Market’s? Walking distance? And did you have them where you lived in FL?

(P.S – can you get function on your blog where if you respond it’s emailed to the commenter? KERF recently got it – and it’s nice to know (and remember!) if you answered a question or whatever. No big deal – just wondering!

Krystina (Organically Me) April 30, 2011 at 1:24 pm

There are actually lovely farmer’s markets down in Florida. I miss the one(s) in Orlando/Winter Park lots. :(

Baking 'n' Books April 30, 2011 at 3:50 pm

I’ve never been at all :(…in Canada. Would love to visit – LIVE – in the States one day. Agreed about the FM though – there are a few here – but they’re all far from where I live. They are pricey too surprisingly.

Nicole April 30, 2011 at 1:23 pm

Love the color contrast of the purple cabbage and green onions in photo 6!

Meghan @ StruggleMuffins April 30, 2011 at 1:43 pm

Love the pic of the grumpy dog! Nothing gets me jazzed about healthy food quite like a farmers market trip :)

Heather (Heather's Dish) April 30, 2011 at 1:43 pm

i would love to start hitting up the boulder farmer’s market but it seems to only like to snow on the weekends here! soon though…so soon :)

Gavi @ GaviGetsGoing! April 30, 2011 at 1:58 pm

One thing I love so much about living in San Francisco is the year round Farmers Market! I love learning about which fruits and vegetables are in season and understanding the rhythm of the seasons. All of the sights, smells, tastes, and sounds of the FM are remarkable. This one looks particularly beautiful!

I love famers markets. We have so many here in the area. I love the food and the gorgeous flowers!

Ruth April 30, 2011 at 2:04 pm

Love this! Yes – spring is here!

Teresa April 30, 2011 at 2:18 pm

It’s so nice to see pics of “live”colorful fresh food over sweets and pastries.

kaila @ healthy helper! April 30, 2011 at 3:02 pm

Beautiful photos! Beautiful day!

Kerry April 30, 2011 at 4:01 pm

Our Farmer’s Market in the Bay Area is also full of amazing items!! I am happy that my saturday stats class (i know, saturday class…) ended today so I can get back to the Farmer’s Market in the mornings!

Jessica April 30, 2011 at 6:09 pm

That picture of the flowers made me think of The Wizard of Oz (poppies, poppies)

Rebecca April 30, 2011 at 6:11 pm

Love the photos and especially the poppies!

Cat April 30, 2011 at 7:05 pm

Love the farmer’s market. I can’t wait to be off of bedrest so I can hit one up!

Holly @ The Runny Egg April 30, 2011 at 7:09 pm

I love the last photo — dogs just make me smile.

Our Farmer’s Market was practically rained out today — downpour all morning. But we went anyway!

Caitlin April 30, 2011 at 8:57 pm

I got out of the habit of going to the Farmer’s market every weekend – I need to start doing it again.

Wow, the photos were gorgeous!

Can’t wait for the farmers’ markets around me to start setting up the stands and showcasing their goods. Your pictures are like eye-candy!! Happy Sunday :)

I love the way farmer’s markets look on a beautiful day. The colors are so bright.

Love the farmers market!I can’t wait until ours opens up soon! Beautiful photos!

Sonia (the mexigarian) May 1, 2011 at 3:07 pm

I love going to the Farmer’s Markets. I have 4 markets within reasonable driving distance (one practically down the street) and it’s so fun to hop around the different markets to see all the different vendors. There’s also such a great energy at the markets. :)

What dish was in photo 6?? Looks delish!

Sarah (Running To Slow Things Down) May 1, 2011 at 4:54 pm

Please send some sunshine my way when you can! I am in desperate need of a vitamin D, farmers markets, and all things summer.

Ashes May 1, 2011 at 5:53 pm

YES! Time to get to the Farmer’s Market. Although it doesn’t feel quite as wonderful here, considering we had light snow yesterday. Booo.
