Behind The Butter

baking in heels

My birthday is next weekend and I decided that these shoes are the only way to proper ring in my 26th year.

I have no idea what I will wear them with (or better yet, where I will wear them other than my kitchen and Whole Foods), but they are a shoe fit for a 26 year old…and that soon will be me.

A huge thank you to Susan for kindly emailing me this morning and telling me they went on clearance! Now these beauties, originally $228, can be yours for only $83.

Or $120 if you’re like me and ordered them to come on next day air.

Because I clearly need these shoes by tomorrow night or I will simply die.

Yes, these shoes are amazing. They are the Le Cruset of footwear. I have a similar pair of Guess black lace heels I bought for my birthday this year… I think they helped with my hangover the next morning 🙂

Pretty! I love a good pair of shoes for a special occasion such as a birthday. My shoe collection is massive as a result, so for my 26th birthday which just pasted I bought a new dress instead O:-)

New shoes is always a terrific way to celebrate a big day, holiday, good day, bad day… pretty much anything. I bought a pair of gold sparkly heels for the holidays last year and still break them out for those moments I just feel an extra bit of glitz is necessary. Have a Happy Birthday!

    Beautiful color–esp with blonde hair.

A sleeve-less short sheath in the shimmery nude, pale peach or seashell pink would be classy, sexy & great .

Something like this except the color is too dark:
    http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod124510025&eItemId=prod124510025&cmCat=search&searchType=MAIN&parentId=&icid=&rte=%252Fsearch.jhtml%253FNo%253D80%2526Ntt%253Dcocktail%252Bdresses%2526_requestid%253D51425%2526N%253D0

This is feminine & adorable: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/kate-spade-new-york-jillian-bow-front-dress/3171639?origin=category&resultback=6473

I scanned through ‘cocktail dresses’ on Nordstrom…there were some cute ones.
Loehmans on Sutter in San Francisco often find great things at a discount I hear.

If scan & find something you like online—can print out & do a run through better SF consignment shops on Polk & outter Sacramento St & you’d be amazed what you can find. SF society gals wear things once & then send them to consignment. Bonne chance!

Think Adam needs to take you to Gary Danko, or Fleur de Lys in SF with shoes like these. He’s pretty gifted in ‘BF-doing-sweet-imaginative-things’ dept.

Exciting that it’s almost your B-Day!
