Ohmygosh! This made me cringe and want to look away…and totally reminded me of something I should send my brother because I think he needs to see the moral of the story. Feel better soon, Adam!
Hope Adam recovers soon! Looks like a pretty brutal accident but at least it occurred during the pursuit of something worthwhile.
And I admire how you always make the most out of every situation, for example, making a cool video to share to people rather than complaining or being overly sad.
Wow…and ow! That sucks that he got so badly hurt but at least he has video proof of the biff – bragging rights when he is all healed up! Hope he gets better quickly!
And if I may ask – exactly what ski resort is this at? I can definitely see why he was staring off…absolutely beautiful scenery!
Fantastic video. Though, yikes, scary/extremely painful looking results. Reminds me of some totally insane/fun things have done on the slopes. Hope Adam has a great ortho/sports medicine doc to help speed healing . Sending prayers.

Oh my! As horrific as this accident was and how much pain Adam is surely suffering at the moment, thank God he survived with “only”some repairable injuries; clearly, his good humor and fierce artisitc skills are fully in tact…a powerful PSA video for certain!
God speed, Adam!!!
p.s. When the dr. suggests physical therapy to rehab that shoulder…obey! Those of us who thought we knew better are (years later) sorry for that decision.
Oh my gosh – I had no idea that’s how it happened!! Oh well, at least now you have good footage to show the kiddies some day (and yes, I realize that comment was totally innappropriate)
That is crazy. poor guy. Don’t let him take too many painkillers, instead give him brownies. At least you have the music to get you through! Love your blog!
Sitting here with my hand-to-shoulder cast, three screws added to my elbow and a week out of surgery, I can say that I reallyreally appreciate this video 😛 I fell victim to ice skating. The irony is that I wore knee pads but left the elbow pads at home.
Hope Adam is recovering okay and not in too much pain! Having someone around to support and care for you as you come out of it is the best thing 🙂
ow ow ow ow ow….ow! Totally brings back memories of me breaking my wrist if 4 places last season. I hope he’s okay. Think he’ll ski again? I’ve sworn off going anywhere near the mountains. Too much pain, can’t handle that again!
Teresa

Oh dear! That must have been so scary for you guys. Can’t believe you got it all video.
Priceless. Though, it is a little hard to watch when you’re just anticipating a trip to the ER at the end 😉 Knowing he’s being served double grilled cheese sandwiches makes it a little better…
Yikes! I didn’t know that a dislocated shoulder looked like that! That’s a rough fall.
Love the music to this video. Watching it kind of reminded me of the time I almost broke my boyfriends nose hopping off the ski lift! Of course, we tell the story and laugh NOW but at the time, the blood was nothing to laugh about! 😀
Poor thing! My dad always used to video tape us skiing growing up and we have more than one video of the camera flipping around in the snow when he fell – fortunately he was never injured. I have to say though – it looked like a gorgeous ski day, and as much as I hate to say I’m jealous when it ended so poorly, I wish I’d been skiing there!
ack! that looked terrifying. and painful. it might be one of the reasons i intentionally fall while snowboarding. which i’ve only ever done once but still 😉 hope he’s feeling some what better! (on a side note: yay black keys! lovelovelove!)
I don’t even understand what happened?! It looks like a freak fall. He wasn’t even going fast!
I guess that’s why we all wear helmets now huh.
I hope Adam feels better soon!
