Grilled Peach Salsa

by jenna on July 28, 2012

You wanna know what we topped our beef tacos with the other night?

This salsa. Lots of it.

You guys know by now that I have a teeny bit of a condiment problem. Well, turns out I also have a teeny bit of a grilled peach problem. Ever since I stuck them in my salad a few weeks ago, I simply cannot get enough. Grilled peaches in salsa are totally out of this world!

I think this would be (obviously) great on the slow cooker beef tacos, but also on spicy black bean burgers or even scrambled eggs! Are you a salsa-on-eggs fan? I am! I’m also a HUGE cilantro fan so, naturally, this salsa is full of it. Sorry cilantro-haters! No room at the inn for you.

Just kidding. If you hate cilantro you can just omit it. Maybe.

Just don’t tell me about it if you do.

See my recipe over at PBS Food!

Now please excuse me while I go eat an entire bush of cilantro.

I have plenty of peaches – but no grill. This looks awesome and like a great way to use up some of the peaches that have taken over my countertop!

Jen July 28, 2012 at 3:39 am

I need a grill! You are really churning out a lot of recipes lately. It’s great!

Kristen @ notsodomesticated July 28, 2012 at 3:59 am

As a fellow cilantro lover, this sounds awesome! I love any salsa that includes plenty of cilantro!!

Michelle @ Eat Move Balance July 28, 2012 at 4:01 am

In the past year, I’ve developed an odd, and very strong, addiction to cilantro. I’ll use it almost every day, finding a way to incorporate it into my lunch. Anyways, this salsa looks fantastic!

Hi Jenna! I just pre-ordered your book! Any chance you will be making any Florida stops on your book tour?

Cait's Plate July 28, 2012 at 6:22 am

My sister just went peach picking and has a plethora of peaches – I’m definitely sending this to her – I bet she’d love it!

Mmm I love salsa on eggs! I always buy the pineapple one at Trader Joe’s, and the peach one is yummy too.. I should try this recipe!

Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat July 28, 2012 at 6:34 am

I have a grilled peach problem too. Maybe we can join a support group? Grilled peachaholics anonymous? 😉 I just made a dish with a kinda-similar salsa and ate it on top of fish… or should I say I ate the fish on top of the salsa… I’m not sure which one I ate more of!! Happy weekend Jenna!

Love that lil’ yellow bowl…so pretty. Homemade salsa rocks…I’ve never tried a peach variation, but I just know I’d love it. Mmm….dreaming of tacos now. That could be breakfast, right?!

Sam @ Better With Sprinkles July 28, 2012 at 7:25 am

I have a big pile of peaches that will go bad before I can eat them all, so I was wondering what I could do with them…I could definitely work with this recipe!

Liz @ iheartvegetables July 28, 2012 at 7:40 am

I KNEW there was a reason I bought peaches this week 😉

laura July 28, 2012 at 8:12 am

holy yum! you introduced me to grilling peaches and i just. can’t. stop! grilling them to top steak, chicken, fish, in salads, for appetizers with ooey gooey goat cheese and crunchy bread, and most importantly with vanilla bean ice cream. now salsa? don’t have to ask me twice! yes please!!

Cristina July 28, 2012 at 9:01 am

I tried making peach salsa the other day, but it wasn’t as flavorful as I would have liked. Maybe grilling the peaches is part of the solution 🙂

Molly @ RDexposed July 28, 2012 at 9:54 am

I was just trying to think of a good app to make for our cookout tomorrow! Great timing.

kara July 28, 2012 at 10:03 am

YUM! That looks beautiful and delicious! I also love condiments… and think of some foods as simply tools to deliver the condiment- why eat a chip unless it is topped with 1/4 cup of salsa, for example?

I feel sad for the cilantro haters. I have some good friends who can’t eat it and say it tastes like soap to them. The tragedy!!

Lauren July 28, 2012 at 11:23 am

Cilantro haters can’t help it! They are super tasters. It literally tastes like soap to them.

Moni Meals July 28, 2012 at 11:39 am

Awesome call to GRILL the peaches! I make a peach salsa but never tried grilled! Yum. 🙂

Ronja @ a dash of faith July 28, 2012 at 12:40 pm

I love grilled peaches but have never tried them in salsa. I love my salsa with peaches and lots of cilantro, so I’m definitely going to try this!

j3nn July 29, 2012 at 2:31 am

Sounds like this would be great on tacos! Especially fish tacos.

Lesley July 29, 2012 at 2:43 am

Looks amazing and reminds me of pineapple salsa and watermelon salsa. Perfect summer dish!

Lexi @ You, Me, & A World to See July 29, 2012 at 10:36 am

I LOVE both cilantros and peaches, so I’m game 🙂

Liz July 29, 2012 at 1:36 pm

is it best to use ripe peaches? or do slightly firmer ones hold up better in the grilling process?

Andrea July 29, 2012 at 5:24 pm

I made this tonight and it is delightful! So yummy, I could eat the whole bowl. 🙂

Stephanie @ Macaroni and Cheesecake July 30, 2012 at 2:02 pm

This looks amazing!! I love mango salsa so I’m sure I would LOVE this!!

Joti July 31, 2012 at 2:16 pm

Hi! I love this recipe! This may be a silly question but do you have to peel the peaches after you grill them?

Brenda @ a farmgirl's dabbles August 1, 2012 at 10:26 am

From the sounds of your condiment and grilled peach problems, I think we should get together and drown our delicious afflictions at the same table! I’m completely with you on both of these. And this salsa is gorgeous!!
