I don’t know if this is what the title intended, but when I read it, I totally thought of the Mother Lover sketch from Saturday Night Live with Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg.
Two memories: the cinnamon buns my mum used to make on weekends when I was maybe 3-4 years – and which I can still totally remember, I think they will forever be the perfect type of cinnamon bun for me, doughy with gooey cinnamon, and fresh, still soft, frosting. The other memory is college, when I had moved away from home quite early and the canteen was serving up these cheapo, obscenely large cinnamon buns, sticky and huge, once a week, and if they didn’t sell all sometimes they’d save one for me because I was always willing to take free food off their hands, hahaha…(my newly-away-from-home-quisine wasn’t up to speed for the first…years). Sorry if that’s a long rant, it’s just – some foodstuffs are amazing for “sticking” to memories. 🙂
