Yay for cute summer clothes!
Now if it would only get warm and stop being 50 degrees with rain. Last night I wore my Ugg boots and a sweater for girl’s night! Northern California weather is so weird. But anyway, here’s a list of the five fashion “trends” (and by “trends” I mean what’s in my closet right now..they may or may not actually be trendy to anyone but me) I’m loving this season.
1. Banana Republic “colorful exotic hobo bag” in coral. Such a fun, bright bag in the perfect shade of pink! This is an example of a bag that can be considered part of an outfit. Despite the color though, I pretty much take mine everywhere…no matter what I’m wearing.
2. JCrew “boy shirt” in oxford blue. It’s a longer button-down, so I wear mine over skinny jeans, black leggings and my bikini in the summer. It’s feminine and classy without being too dressy. I’ve had mine for over a year and love it!
3. Cheap maxi dresses from Target! I still love the ones I bought back in ’09…they always seem to last forever and make feel feminine and pretty. 
Pair them with a Target necklace and you’re good to go!
4. Floppy summer hats! I got the one you see below in blue from Whole Foods (San Diego Hat Company) and love it. Who knows if I can actually pull it off, but whatev…I think they’re so cute!
5. Flowy blouses….like this one from Banana Republic! They’re light and pretty for summer and can easily be dressed up or down.
What pieces are you loving right now? Like I need an excuse to sit on the couch and shop online any more. Okay, thanks, bye.

I am digging colorful long cotton skirts with stretchy plain-colored tanks. In Portland, the weather isn’t warm yet, so I can pair this with a jean jacket or khaki jacket and hat and I’m good to go.
I’m digging my solid color ae drop shoulder tees. So comfy and cute. That and skinny capris.

I adore the boyfriend shirts!!! They are the best – so chic and adorable but comfortable. Whoever thought of this is genius.

I live in San Diego and have not put my Ugg boots away! It’s COLD here at night and I am out and about and refuse to be cold so I rock jackets and boots. No shame in admitting that.
What am I loving right now? Be Present pants. Yoga meets streetwear. Have been wearing them daily for 6 yrs. This is not a trend for me. It’s a forever thing

I’m in love w/ ALL the dresses at target right now! I actually just left there w/ a pink n black bathing suit cover up to wear this wkend at the beach! I especially love their kimono dresses- simple, flowy, comfy!

Mmm I’ve been pretty obsessed with J.Crew V-neck t-shirts in bright colors (I currently have hot pink, lime green, and sky blue), and Nars Orgasm blush – looooove.
I’ve actually been buying men’s shirts from JCrew recently! They are generally cheaper and in xs or s they are a little long, but give me the “real” boyfriend look! This summer I’m living in paper bag waist shorts. And boat shoes in every color my wallet will allow me to buy.
I have to “ditto” everyone else and say that I wish I had your closet!
But I’m loving fun summer shoes… light-colored ballet flats, “fancy” flip flops, and cute wedges!

I also live in NorCal too! And boy, the *ONE DAY* of summer weather from last week sure was nice! I feel like I’ll never be able to bust out the cute summer frocks without covering them with a giant ass coat.
I love the *idea* of maxi dresses. Unfortunately, at 5 ft 4 in I just can’t pull them off….every one I’ve tried on makes me look like I’m wearing a mu-mu

I love that hat. I’ve had a ‘no patterns’ rule for me since I was 2…except in Hermes or Chanel scarfs I only like solids. For me, I like cut, texture, and reiterated details. But when I was 26—was tan all the time & lived in sleeveless sheaths/white shorts & sandals. I never buy a lot, but classics & (mostly) keep in my color range.

She can go through that entire store & come up with the most amazing finds. They’ll always have some wonderful detail & she is an ace accessorizor with ethnic jewelry.
If I were the type (which am not so would look ridiculous on me) I REALLY love bohemian….like Frieda Kahlo or the famous potter Beatrice Wood. Today was talking to a lovely guy who is studying at the Fashion Institute in NYC–he’s on summer break and working at his family’s store. We started talking about design and we just off having a great time. He MET Anna Wintour!! Showed me his terrific portfolio.

My summer must-haves include a couple of strapless dresses (like so: http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=541188&CategoryID=16857), wedges and open-toe flats, dangly silver earrings, and a good pair of sunglasses. (I’ve had a pair of Dior ones for years – courtesy of my amazing mom – and I love them ferociously).
In my closet for summer-Anthro cotton sundresses, always (I have far too many of them…oops!), the J Crew Jackie cardigan (to wear over my sundresses, because hey…it’s Norcal and its not exactly hot here). Wedge/platform sandals-way more comfy than flip flops, imo. I also like big dangly earrings in the summertime, and oversize sunglasses , even though I look a bit silly in them. I wish I could do the big floppy hat thing, but I always look way too stupid in hats…
What pieces do I love right now, you ask? Pretty much all pieces… it always seems like the cutest stuff always appears when I’m on a strict budget! But if I had to choose, I’d have to say pretty much every pair of shorts currently made by Lilly Pulitzer {I know some of the prints are a bit loud, but that’s how we roll in S.
