Clearly any kind of green monster is my fave smoothie, since you get 2-3 servings of veggies in a smoothie! But I love to do a “Mexican” chocolate GM, by adding Chocolate Amazing Meal, a tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder, and a couple shakes of cinnamon! Yum!
I love the cherry chocolate bomb, but my slightly cheaper go-to is half a frozen banana, two large handfuls of spinach, a scoop of Ovaltine (poor girls’ chocolate super food) and a few splashes of water. I need a magic bullet! I hate washing my blender everyday.
Smoothies rock! 2 big handfuls of spinach, 8 oz unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder, a few frozen cherries, 1/2 banana…. YUM!
1 cup of fat free, plan yogurt
1 cup of frozen berries
1 scoop of whey protein powder
1 Tbsp flaxseed oil
Combine all ingredients and blend. If too thick, add a splash of soy milk
Ahhh so cool!!!! My favorite is strawberries, bananas, peaches, and yogurt! Yum!

Teeny bit xanthan gum, full frozen banana, small handful frozen berries and a cupa milk with tons of spinach is my FAVOURITE everyday staple! A vitamix would be so awesome for smaller, faster smoothies than my chunky blender!
I posted one recipe on Run Eat Repeat since she’s having the same contest. I’d say another favorite is milk, greek yogurt, ice, frozen banana, straberries, and spinach.
I have wanted one of these forever!! So excited. My favorite is simple yet delicious: 1/2 frozen banana, greek yogurt (I don’t measure, so we’ll say a “dollop”), almond milk (more than a “splash”), water and two hefty handfuls of spinach. Once in awhile I get crazy and add other frozen fruit too. Simple and delicious! Perfect for an IBS sufferer who can’t handle too much by way of raw vegetables, even spinach!

My favorite smoothie is chocolate protien powder, 1/2 cup lite coconut milk, 1/2 cup of almond milk, 1 tbsp almond butter, and 1 tbsp coconut butter and lots of ice! YUMMY!!! Tastes like an Almond Joy!!

I like sticking with the basic tons of spinach, banana, and milk. I haven’t ventured out to any types of powders yet, but I do want to try!
I love my Magic Bullet. I use fresh or frozen strawberries, some Aria protein powder, Benefiber powder, a banana, water, scoop of oats, and some blueberries. Delicious!

Newish lurker and first time commenter because I’ve been lusting after the magic bullet! Here’s my favorite smoothie: a handful or two of spinach, 1 banana, fresh strawberries, frozen blueberries and mango, unsweetened cocoa powder, a scoop of fruitein berry powder, soy milk (lactose intolerant. Boo!), and a sprinkling of wheat germ. And sometimes a dollop of peanut butter when I want it super rich. I like my smoothies to pack a punch!
I like to add some frozen bananas, yogurt, chocolate sauce, almond butter, and a tiny bit of spinach or chocolate amazing grass for some greens!

This smoothie is sooooo good, like an old-timey milkshake, and it keeps me full for HOURS!
My favorite smoothie is my delicious PB banana breakfast creation. Into the blender goes 1 frozen nana, 1 cup skim milk, 1 Tbsp peanut butter, 1 Tbsp chia, 1 Tbsp flax and a dash of vanilla. Sometimes I add a scoop of chocolate protein powder if I am feeling adventurous

I was going to go with my PB&J smoothie with almond milk, greek yogurt, banana, chocolate Amazing Grass, Peanut butter and frozen raspberries but lately I have been loving another.

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

Honestly, I’m still in love with Green Monsters. Into my food processor goes: a sliced banana, lots of baby spinach, ground flaxseed, a scoop of unsweetened vanilla protein powder (this stuff has been difficult for me to find!), and almond milk. It’s so energizing that I don’t even “need” my coffee- I’m free to drink coffee for the sake of enjoyment. Love that!

My favorite smoothie is a green monster. I know most wouldn’t consider this their favorite but I have become so obsessed with them. I use an insanely amount of spinach, banana, flax, milk, vanilla protein mix, and frozen berries. If I am in the mood for more of a banana milkshake I add 2 bananas and lose the berries. Another good one is banana, milk, and clementines. So good and refreshing.

Ingredients:
– ice cubes
– 1 tablespoon of freshly ground flax seeds
– 2 tablespoons of hemp powder
– a banana
– handful frozen blueberries
– 2 handfuls baby spinach leaves
– about half a cup or so of blackstrap molasses water I keep in the fridge (more on this in a future post). But it would be 2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses in a cup of water for you.
Directions:
– Toss everything in to the blender, blend until smoothly combined, pour, and enjoy this blast of energizing deliciousness!

You can always throw in some spinach, use water instead of juice, etc. There are no measurements

I mixed the two together for the ultimate recovery drink. It tastes like a milkshake!

I made a great one this morning with 1 cup almond milk, 1 frozen banana, 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein, 1 shot espresso (just instant espresso mixed with a little hot water), 1 tsp unsweetened coco powder, 1 tbsp ground flax, 1 tbsp wheat germ, and ice! It reminded me of a frappacino!

Hi Jenna! I would loooove a magic bullet. I was never a huge smoothie person until recently. Now I make them all the time…..using my shoddy broken blender. (It’s my fault – I dropped it.) I am training for a marathon and drink this chocolate-peanut butter- banana version after my long runs. I read where chocolate milk or peanut butter and banana are both great to have after a long run because they both have a 4:1 carb to protein ratio. I mixed the two together for the ultimate recovery drink. It tastes like a milkshake!

Definitely a mix of low fat plain yogurt, frozen berries, a handful or two of spinach, and half a banana (otherwise it tastes too banana-y to me!). I should try to mix it up a little but this works every time

Best. Smoothie. Ever. Here we go: Kale, Spinach, Strawberries, Peaches, Vanilla Bean Powder (the raw kind), Almond Extract, 2 T Cacao, 1 T Chia seeds, 1 T Hemp, 1 T Flax, 1 t. Maca, 1 t. spirulina, and 14 drops Vanilla Creme stevia. Blend and serve in chilled bowl with cacao nibs mixed it (After blending so you have some crunch in the texture!)

I need a smoothie that will keep my blood sugar even. So I usually use whole yogurt or coconut milk, coconut oil, frozen berries, a pinch of stevia, and a dash of vanilla. If I have greens I will add them too.

I like a fairly traditional green smoothie: almond milk, frozen banana, frozen blueberries, a protein powder like Amazing Meal, and a couple handfuls of spinach. The best kind though are the ones my 5 year old son helps me make. He loves to add the spinach, which he will drink in the smootie but won’t eat as a leaf.

I am an avid reader but have never posted but feel so compelled to share my absolute love for smoothies. I typically eat at least one a day and always after a run.
I usually throw in some yogurt (either vanilla, or banilla, or greek) dump in some fruit (peaches, strawberries, mangoes, raspberries, blueberries, – always frozen) splash of milk, and spinach! sometimes. I never do measurements. Just eyeball everything and add until it tastes great!
Any combination of fruit depending on what I have available.

Mmmm smoothies!!! My favorites is from Kristen’s Raw–her chocolate cherry bomb! It has 1 cup soy or almond milk, 2 tbs cocoa powder, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder ( I use Sunwarrior) 1 cup frozen cherries and 1 banana. Sometimes I add 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds too. My absolute favorite!!!
I think Banana is the key to any smoothie! I use banana and strawberries mostly! I usually try to add some cabbage or spinach or Kale and some blueberries always hides the green for the little ones!

1. orange juice, ice cubes, whole banana, 4 strawberries. Blend away! A staple but always delicious.
2. orange juice, pineapple juice, frozen yogurt (vanilla), pineapples/mangoes/coconut — you choose! So delicious but a little thicker/heavier with the frozen yogurt (or ice cream if you dare!)

1 container plain, 0% greek yogurt (15 g protein!)
CHOCOLATE! : ):

2-4 oz water
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder (I use designer whey)
1-2 heaping tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 heaping tablespoon natural peanut butter

My favorite protein powder I like to use in smoothies is Isagenix brand in the rich chocolate flavor, then I add spinach and frozen bananas and a little bit of water and voila! THE best smoothie eva!!!!:)
Icy strawberry ice cream –
frozen strawberries, cottage cheese, milk, ice, vanilla extract and a bit of xanthan gum and sweetener (agave or stevia). And then sometimes I add in vanilla protein powder, but if I don’t have any on hand, it’s just as good, if not better, without !
I always seem to make too much though, which is a problem with the large blender…maybe a magic bullet would help me control my portion (or not).

my go-to recipe is similar to a few of the banana + chocolate protein powder/amazing meal recipes up there, so how about a different one? it’s not my everyday smoothie, but when I want something different I use this:
1c. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2c. spinach (raw or steamed and cooled)
1/2 frozen banana
2T almond butter (or any nut butter)
1 scoop berry flavored Daily Greens powder (or 1/2 c. fresh or frozen berries)
1/8 tsp. xanathan gum
1/8 tsp. guar gum
** gums are optional, but make the smoothie really frothy and smoooooth!
ice and water as necessary
just blend it all up – tastes like a PB&J!

My favorite is what I call the “Hula Green Monster.” It’s just a handful of frozen pineapples, a tablespoon of unsweetened coconut flakes, two handfuls of the Southern Greens Blend from Trader Joe’s (a bag of collard greens, mustard greens, and spinach), some almond milk, and some stevia. Blend it up and enjoy!

Perfect smoothie in no time!
Plain yogurt, handful of spinach, 1 scoop of Amazing Meal, 1 banana, and a drizzle of almond or peanut butter, with some milk or water.
fat free yogurt, frozen banana, handful of strawberries, vanilla soy milk…blend away
in a magic bullet sized blender put:
- 1/2 cup – 1 cup (depending on taste) frozen mangoes
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 cup – 1 cup OJ (depending on how thick you like it)
- 1/2 cup pasteurized egg whites
- stuff the rest of the space with spinach leaves (approx 2 Cups)
This can also be done with the addition of protein powder instead of egg whites but you might need to increase the juice or add in some water

My favorite and go to smoothie recipe is a take on the Green Monster. I take a large handful of kale and a large handful of spinach, microwave it for 2-3 minutes and stick it in the blender. I add a small frozen banana (frozen in slices for easier blending), some plain almond milk (about 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup) and a tablespoon of chia seeds. I normally wait for the bananas to go really ripe (like banana bread ripe) before slicing and freezing them so that the natural sugars make my smoothies super sweet but with no added sugar.

im colombian so i grew up drinking the common tropical fruit smoothies of latin america. its common to take milk and somewhat exotic frozen fruit purees to make these amazing batidos
i really like frozen mango puree, soymilk (in colombia we use full fat dairy milk but i like soy) and some agave nectar

Holy Moly! I cannot even explain my favorite healthy smoothie. I interviewed for a position as a sales representative for a healthy living company last month and one of their specialties is smoothies. Lucky me…during my interview I was given a complimentary smoothie of my choice. I decided on the Blueberry Muffin smoothie. It was INCREDIBLE!! I waited until the interview was over to fully enjoy this and literally sucked it down like a milkshake once I was in the car. It was to die for!
