I’ll never forget the photos you posted of Dexter escaping. Reply katyrenee December 8, 2010 at 11:45 am Perhaps he was channeling another Dexter and choose chocolate instead of blood spatter to investigate? Reply Natalia - a side of simple December 8, 2010 at 11:46 am In Dexter’s defense, the poor guy has to watch you bake up “5lb weight gain” aka “holiest of holy” chocolate treats. I would want in on that action, too 🙂 Reply Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin December 8, 2010 at 11:47 am Hahah he definitely looks guilty!! Reply Laura December 8, 2010 at 11:47 am Too funny! I also love how there doesn’t seem to be any look of guilt on his face. Ha! Reply Lisa December 8, 2010 at 11:48 am What a little stinker!!!! Have you ever tried making your own cat food? Reply Debbie Phan December 8, 2010 at 11:52 am LOL! That is so funny Jenna! Hope poor little Dexter doesn’t get sick or anything 😉 Reply Heather (Heather's Dish) December 8, 2010 at 12:03 pm if you have some good pet food recipes up your sleeves i know 2 dogs that wouldn’t mind a break from their normal food either… 😉 Reply Jessica @ How Sweet December 8, 2010 at 12:04 pm Just today I was wondering if you still had Dexter because you hadn’t mentioned him much! Time for new food… Reply Estela @ Weekly Bite December 8, 2010 at 12:16 pm Yikes! My dog did that when he was a puppy. It was a disaster… 😉 Reply Jessica December 8, 2010 at 12:20 pm LOL oh, mine does the same thing. And looks JUST like yours! So cute. You can’t be mad for long! Reply nicole December 8, 2010 at 12:25 pm Aww, he’s probably tired of it because he always sees and smells you baking your tasty treats. I think he wants your to make him some cat treats! Reply Camille December 8, 2010 at 12:39 pm Busted! That’s why they are made so cute, so we don’t kill them 🙂 Reply Jess @ The Squiggly Way December 8, 2010 at 12:44 pm Could be worse, I came home the other day to find one of my dogs had eaten my glasses!! Yes, my glasses. Still have no idea where one of the lenses is, but the arms were completely chewed and bent in half! He was apparently shopping for a new chew toy on my nightstand. It’s a good thing he is so adorable, or I would have made him into a pair of glasses! :o) Reply megan @ whatmegansmaking December 8, 2010 at 12:47 pm Love it! He looks so devious 🙂 Reply Conni December 8, 2010 at 12:55 pm Dexter! Reply Lauren at KeepItSweet December 8, 2010 at 12:57 pm hahaha he must have smelled the chocolate! Reply Averie (LoveVeggiesandYoga) December 8, 2010 at 1:01 pm OMG!!! You must have flipped a lid…not only at the mess but the fact that a great choc cake was thief-ed. By kitty 🙂 But I would pick cake over cat food, any day, too 🙂 Reply Jackie December 8, 2010 at 1:11 pm Haha someone is looking guilty in that picture… Reply Mary @ Bites and Bliss December 8, 2010 at 1:42 pm Obviously the horns hold up the halo 😉 Reply Anne P December 8, 2010 at 1:56 pm LOL! That’s amazing. He looks so guilty. Did he seriously knock that whole pan down from the counter?! Reply Anne@MyZenPulse December 8, 2010 at 1:56 pm My kitty looks just like Dexter! We found mysterious kitty prints in the pumpkin pie a few years back… a month before that, she escaped with (and either hid or ate) an entire quesadilla… and I got a text from my mom while she was living there saying that kitty looked very guilty with a piece of spaghetti over her head… But we love them! Reply Cathy B. @ Bright Bakes December 8, 2010 at 2:10 pm that is one gorgeous cat! and i don’t even (usually) care much for cats! love, cathy b. Reply Baking 'n' Books December 8, 2010 at 2:15 pm That picture is priceless. How do you capture these moments! (and I kinda thought is was cat food first, but also thought it could have been dropped chocolate cookies…;) ) Reply Becky December 8, 2010 at 2:19 pm Best. Blog. Post. Ever. Reply Sharon December 8, 2010 at 3:16 pm Uh-oh. Be careful with cats and chocolate-it can make them sick! Hopefully he didn’t actually ingest any-maybe this is his way of saying “can you please make some nice cat treats next time?” Reply Mom December 8, 2010 at 3:30 pm Ohhhhh…. Bring Dexter home!!! Reply Karla December 8, 2010 at 3:31 pm LOL what a character!!! I didn’t realize cats had such personality 🙂 Reply Foodie (Fab and Delicious Food) December 8, 2010 at 3:44 pm LOL! Look at his face! What a cutie! Reply Laura December 8, 2010 at 4:01 pm I don’t blame him either. You’ve got things like Oh Baby bars & cupcakes around and he gets cat food? I’d knock over the bowl too 🙂 Reply Leah @ Why Deprive? December 8, 2010 at 4:16 pm hahaha oh no!! I always worry about the day my dog realizes that she can easily get to the food I leave on the table. No good can come of it. Reply Jillian @ Reshape Your Life December 8, 2010 at 4:38 pm Oh Dexter!! How funny! And how cute is his face after… he looks kind of proud of himself. lol Reply Marie-Journey to Body Zen December 8, 2010 at 5:55 pm That is hilarious! Reply Erica D @ Gratitouille December 8, 2010 at 6:23 pm Wow, did he knock it off the counter?! Cats never cease to amaze me. At least it looks like he limited his serving size, though! 😉 Reply Rebecca @ How the Cookies Crumble December 8, 2010 at 7:03 pm Hahaha! Curiosity killed the cat! Reply jessica December 8, 2010 at 7:34 pm Yeah, I could never eat the same thing everyday! 🙂 Reply courtney December 8, 2010 at 8:33 pm I love pets 🙂 Reply Maria December 8, 2010 at 8:57 pm my dog does something like this with his food. In the morning, I will feed him a mix of dry and wet food and he separates it himself. He’ll take a bite, spit it on the carpet and just eat the wet food. Then I’m left with kibble all over the floor which he then puts in his mouth and tosses up in the air as a child would throw their popcorn and try to catch it in his mouth. He’s a crazy little thing. Reply jodi December 8, 2010 at 9:47 pm awe…. haha. what a great post! Reply Ravenous Rowie December 9, 2010 at 1:08 am Our cats do things like that too, but then our dogs finish it off! Reply Sarah (Running to Slow Things Down) December 9, 2010 at 2:59 am Oh Dexter…haha. What a cutie. Reply Kasey December 9, 2010 at 5:53 am Dexter is such a cutie!!! He wants some kitty friendly baked treats 🙂 Reply MelanieF December 9, 2010 at 6:26 am My cat Guizmo gets himself into troubles everyday! This morning he was on the kitchen counter and he trew the paper towel holder on the floor…it’s like this everyday! But, I do love him and cutie face. 🙂 Reply Sarah K. @ The Pajama Chef December 9, 2010 at 7:03 am awww, my kitty has taken to begging for my husband’s cheerios… Reply Lauren December 9, 2010 at 7:05 am Does Dexter ever help you taste test butter cream frosting? Reply lindsay December 9, 2010 at 7:41 am I thought only dogs did stuff like that…too funny!! Reply SueP December 9, 2010 at 12:19 pm Oh Dexter…..Oh my. I like how he’s giving you the sintk-eye. 🙂 Reply Lacey @ Lake Life December 9, 2010 at 3:50 pm I think I would do the same thing if I lived in a house where so many delicious recipes are made but I had to suffice on the same meal every day 🙂 Reply Michaela December 9, 2010 at 4:56 pm Once we had a sushi party, and I caught Mari sitting on the table, licking the nigiri. We didn’t tell our guests. Reply Marie December 9, 2010 at 5:10 pm Oh, Dexter. I can’t even tell you how many times Jozy has knocked things off my counters/tables. No food yet, though… Reply Carpensm @ A Life Without Ice Cream December 14, 2010 at 11:09 am Oh Dexter is super cute… I’m biased because my Gidget has the same markings on her chest… something mischevious about black cats with white spots…so cute you don’t see them coming 😛 Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyName * Email * Website Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
