Liz Lange Sleeveless Top from Target >> Words can’t express how much I adore these tank tops. I have them in about six colors now and whenever I go to Target and see a new color, I instantly buy it. It’s the most comfy, practical maternity tank out there {in my opinion}. Super soft and stretchy. Thanks, Target! I love all their maternity clothes.

L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil >> I rub this on the bump daily and haven’t gotten a single stretch mark yet. Who knows if it’s truly because of the oil, but it can’t hurt. Plus, it smells out of this world and feels amazing.

L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate >> Completely obsessed. Never have I loved a body lotion so much…or seen such great results! Every day after I rub the almond oil on my belly, I rub the milk concentrate all over the rest of my body. I’ve been on this routine now for almost two months and can absolutely say my skin is the softest that it’s ever been. I’m addicted to the scent as well. It’s light and not overpowering. Adam likes it, too! This stuff claims to “tone and firm” and while who knows if that’s totallyyy valid, what can I say? I’m a believer/sucker. The second I run out, I’m ordering more.

Bravado Seamless Silk Nursing Bra >> Without getting into too much unnecessary detail, let’s just say underwire right now is not my bestie. I’ve put off buying a new bra for months {because, let’s be real: I’d rather spend my money buying new shoes} but I finally caved and ordered one of these bad boys after reading the rave reviews. The second it arrived, I put it on and let out a HUGE sigh of relief. Hands down, the most comfortable bra I have ever owned. Five minutes later, I ordered another one. It’s not the sexiest beast in the book but it gets the job done. Amen.

Clementines >> Let’s go from talking about undergarments to fruit, shall we? I’ve been polishing off a whole box/bag of these weekly for the past two months. I never eat less than two at a time…sometimes it’s more like five at a time. At least it’s fruit, right?

Breville Compact Juice Fountain >> We got a juicer at the beginning of the year as part of our “eat more veggies” goal. I’ve been loving it! This one is super compact, yet very efficient for juicing just about anything. I juice greens {kale, spinach, dandelion} just about daily and it gets the job done. I highly recommend this model over more expensive ones — I’ve had both and actually prefer this less-expensive model.

Snoogle >> Oh, how I love my snoogle. Sometimes it gets to be a lot in our small bed with me, Adam, snoogle and Dexter but I can’t go without it. I contemplated taking it on the plane when we visited my parents for Christmas but thought that’d be a little much. Seriously though, best pregnancy purchase ever.

2 lb Hand Weights >> These are the exact weights I have and love. I use them for all my Barre3 online workouts!

Wendy’s Vanilla Frosty Cones >> And, just when you guys thought I was all good and healthy with all my juicing, fruit and weights, let me introduce the love of my life: the frosty cone. I can’t get enough of these. One night, I had Adam drive me to Wendy’s sort of late and much to my chagrin, THEY WERE CLOSED. I may or may not have shed a tear.

At 21 weeks I have to agree with you, the snoogle is the best thing ever! Gap maternity also has some tops on clearance right now that are super comfy! My fruit of choice has been honey crisp apples… I buy the absolute biggest ones I can find 🙂

I’ve never had the frosty cone! but I bet it’s good, I love ice cream. I remember I once was craving Wendy’s REALLY BAD (I think I was on my period cause I NEVER crave fast food) and I went… it’s far frm my apartment so I walked like 20 minutes to get there. Only to find out it was closed to remodeling. womp womp womp….
Haha so I feel your pain 😉

I listed my favorite pregnancy must-haves today, too and the snoogle made the list! I love that thing.

And yes to Target’s maternity tank selection, too. I love their clothes! GAP has some wonderful items as well. 🙂

It seriously freaks me out that whenever I am obsessed with a product I check into your blog and you’re obsessed with it too. I’m pregnant too and just started using the almond oil stuff too. Have you tried the scrub and shower oil? So great! I am having an early baby shower next month and I have begged people for the snoggle!
I haven’t tried the tanks at target although I do love there stuff but gap has the best v neck tshirts in the world. I wear one almost everyday.
    I’m obsessed with kiwis!
I am using a bra from spanx actually that is super comfortable after weeks of being stabbed by my underwire too!
    Glad you’re feeling better!

Even though i’ve read many places that stretchmarks are genetic and there’s nothing you can do to prevent them–you either get them or you don’t–I still wanted some insurance so i used cocoa butter lotion with my first pregnancy and almond oil with my second. No stretchmarks! All the best to you! 🙂

Yess on the Frosty! I went through a serious ice cream phase while I was pregnant…summer was the McFlurry, fall was the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard from DQ and winter was the chocolate Frosty. Ah, such great memories 🙂 Enjoy it all!

I just need to say AMEN to your list! I’m due in April, and as I write this, I’m also wearing a Liz Lange tank top. I love those! I also agree that the Frosty Cone is probably the best thing for a quick ice cream craving. Side note: did you know that the junior deluxe burger is only 350 calories? Just in case you need that.

Targets maternity wear is great but don’t get their nursing tanks . They are way too baggy and made me feel frumpy postpartum. Pea in the pods are better. Also, oil is great ( I used the mama mio and didn’t get any) but I think it had more to do with how much you gain. Also, the third tri is really when you would get them, not earlier .

So glad to see your post about the nursing bra. I am 31 weeks and my underwire bra is killing me and really irritating my skin! I am switching to my nursing bra the second I get home. Great idea!

I’m buying one now. I find that the ones I have, victoria secrets, although great…don’t breathe well..and it’s summer here in Australia and it just leads to a lot of itchiness.

I have an 11 week old and I have to agree about the Target tank tops. And don’t pack them up after you have the baby. Because of how stretchy they are they still fit well after the baby is born and are great for nursing tops.

Check out Nizo Wear nursing bras as well. http://nizowear.com/ They have pockets built in for either hot or cold packs. I nursed both my babies and cannot even begin to describe how helpful having that cold or warm relief was, especially the first few months.

My son is 19 months now, and while the maternity clothes are long packed away, I still wear the stretchy, long maternity tank tops I bought while pregnant. A Pea and the Pod makes some comfy ones too. You will not regret buying those! 🙂

I’m in my second trimester too and an entire 5 pound box of those clementines is lucky to last a week in my presence. I eat several a day –citrus is probably my number one craving right now.

Saw this the other day and you just jogged my memory with the juicing comment. I’m a believer in everything in moderation, but sometimes through juicing we can be getting way too much of a good thing…

This is a great post and couldn’t come at a better time! I’m almost 20 weeks and have been searching for a comfortable non-underwire bra (totally understand what you’re talking about there!). I just ordered the one you recommended. Thank you!! Hope the rest of your pregnancy treats you well!

Best bra ever!!! Seriously…best part it will adapt with after your milk comes in:)

Question…do you have a vitamix? Why the juicer over something like the vitamix? Only asking bc I’ve wanted the compact juicer for awhile now and don’t know whether to wait or not:)

  • April
    January 15, 2014 at 1:19 pm

Thanks for the recommendation on the juicer, i am dying to get one, but all the others just seemed too ‘big’ and cumbersome, but this one looks more manageable. Plus, i don’t like a lot of appliances on my counter, and this will take up less space.

At 27 weeks I had to switch my snoogle for a bump nest out of desperation. I highly recommend it if you find you need an alternative!

I have a love for clementines lately too! I had a brief affair with frosty’s but that’s been replaced with cinnamon toast crunch, Trader Joe’s vanilla wafter cookies, and lots of milk (at least this week). This reminds me that I should bring my juicer out of wherever my husband stored it… and buy new bras. I am convinced underwire is the devil.

I just commented the same thing on Tina (Carrots ‘N Cake), but my baby Max is 6 months old now, and when I was pregnant with him I craved citrus (5-10 Cuties a day), and sour (Sour Patch Kids and Rips) constantly. Everyone said that means you’re having a boy! And… I did. And you’re expecting a boy, too, right? I think there may be something to that. 🙂 You’re a cute pregnant lady! I like reading about your experiences with it, but surprisingly it does NOT make me miss being pregnant. I like sushi and wine and soft, smelly cheeses too much! 🙂 Although I do miss sleeping.

Wow, that’s a nice affordable juicer! I have not seen one under $200 yet. Liz Lange is the best, seriously. I loved her maternity jeans so much – they were in contemporary cuts and didn’t make me look like an expectant mama!

Wait, since when do Frosties come in a cone?! College me would be in love especially since it’s a way more legit cone than the ones at McD’s or BK.

Great recommendations! I just started my 2nd trimester and it has been great to follow along with you during this journey!
I bought the Supple Skin Oil based on a recommendation from Gina’s blog and it is AMAZING! It smells so good and my husband always compliments me on the way I smell after I put it on. I also have the shower oil. I am not much of a lotion fan but I have found that I love Mama Bee’s Belly Butter. It is not too greasy and has a natural smell.
And I might have to get that bra pronto…the other night, as soon as we walked out of the house to meet friends and got into the car I said to my husband “I already can’t wait to get home later so I can take my bra off” (and we weren’t even out of the driveway yet!)
