Bahaha I love that squirrel photo!! I’m terrified of squirrels actually because I had a nightmare about one running up my back and taking a chunk out of my upper back. This was when I was in elem. school, mind you!

Suzanne de Cornelia July 11, 2010 at 9:51 pm

Colorful pix–great shots!

Camille July 11, 2010 at 10:00 pm

I love Berk so much!
When I used to live in SF I was there as often as possible :)

alicia July 11, 2010 at 10:06 pm

Berkley has always looked like so much fun to me. Those were my people (in a previous life before I had children).

nora July 11, 2010 at 10:28 pm

I wish I could live in Berkeley… Your photographs brought back many wonderful memories of the time I’ve spent in Berkeley.
Thank you

Bethany @ More Fruit Please July 11, 2010 at 10:45 pm

Your pictures make me want to visit Berkeley so badly!!

Lisa (bakebikeblog) July 11, 2010 at 10:46 pm

What fun! LOVE IT!

Donna Porter July 11, 2010 at 10:50 pm

Ok! You totally have to message me where in Berkeley you were..I would love to visit the shop you were at…looks like a great little place my daughter would love to go. She’s 12 and secretly a hippie at heart! :) lol

Shauna July 11, 2010 at 11:04 pm

Oh, I LOVE when you go to Berkeley! I’m a student here and like seeing things from your perspective. So you went to Angeline’s French Soul Food (I hope you had their lemonade), Telegraph Avenue, Mars Vintage Clothing, and… hmm. That last place stumps me. It looks delicious though! Come again, there’s still much to explore :)

Anna July 11, 2010 at 11:27 pm

I need to live here!!!

Becki @ HikeBikeEat July 11, 2010 at 11:30 pm

Jen (Running With Cake) July 12, 2010 at 4:09 am

I can see that Berkley hasn’t changed much over the years – still a fun, hippy town with lots of character (and a few characters!).

Lauren @ louisianagrown July 12, 2010 at 4:29 am

Look at you fitting right in with the locals! Looks like a very fun place to visit. Kind of like New Orleans… but hippier.

kaila July 12, 2010 at 4:41 am

the man in the blue hat looks questionable? lol!

Sarah July 12, 2010 at 4:50 am

My little hipster…love it!

Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman July 12, 2010 at 4:56 am

I’ve never been, but that’s exactly as I imagine it. All its hippy glory.

Heather July 12, 2010 at 5:06 am

Leggings and boots are International look from Paris, London, Milan, San Francisco, NYC, Hollywood and definitely in Berkeley! They look great!

Courtney @ 3 Months July 12, 2010 at 6:11 am

So fun! I’m moving to the bay area in the fall (eek, 2 months away!) and Berkeley is at the top of my “why I’m excited to move to northern cal” list. Such a fun, unique place!!

Anya @ Fitness & Sunshine July 12, 2010 at 6:21 am

The photos are amazing! :)

Kristy July 12, 2010 at 6:27 am

I wanna buy those boots off your feet! I need them in my life! Where did you get them?

Nancy in Naples July 12, 2010 at 6:37 am

I have to agree. . . your pictures are getting better and better! These are fantastic. Makes me want to visit Berkeley!

Kelly July 12, 2010 at 6:46 am

I love hippies! I’m really one at heart, despite my girlie exterior. Your photos are so beautiful and colorful. The closest thing NC has to Berkley is Carrboro, which is pretty hippie-fied in its own right.

Anna July 12, 2010 at 6:47 am

Cute pics!

Anne @ Chute Assis July 12, 2010 at 7:00 am

This summer, the boy and I are getting married, quitting jobs/packing up lives and trekking across the great unknown to live in the Bay Area. and I can’t WAIT to visit Berkeley, Yosemite, Muir Woods… Whenever I get nervous about what we’re doing, I pop over to your blog to get re-excited by photos and experiences!!

Ann @ A Quidnunc Smorgasbord July 12, 2010 at 7:07 am

Dara Thai Lao! you should’ve also have gone to one right next door to that one ~ Cha Am! ~ AND you should’ve ordered the #5 po piah rolls along with the #21 your choice of chicken, pork or beef. It was my favorite go-to Thai restaurant when I lived in Berkeley! You’ve got to stop posting pics of Berkeley ~ you’re making me even more homesick than I already am! you see i grew up there and just recently moved to the midwest… Glad you have fun though. telegraph ~ sooo many memories :(

My alma mater! Your photos took me back to my college days. I think I’m overdue for a visit. I had a chance to visit briefly last summer (2009), but I was only there for a few hours and spent most of my weekend trip in Oakland and San Francisco. Time to get back to my roots!
