Hi friends!
Hope you all are keeping warm! I looked ridiculous going to yoga today in my tight yoga spandex pants, a blue Kentucky sweatshirt and my Uggs :). At least I was warm! The class was great……very challenging with all the sloooooooow 10 second chatarungas and flow sequences. My body was thoroughly heated up in now time!
After class I came home and decided to make poached eggs for lunch because a) I was craving something warm and b) I just love poached eggs! I had two eggies on warmed up slices of my italian bread that I made yesterday along with a yogurt and a banana:
I’m so excited because at 2:00 I have my appointment with Anisha, an Ayurvedic Physcian and Certified Acupuncturist. For the month of January they are doing a special where the 30 minute initial consultation is FREE (Yay!) and that’s when she will do the tongue/pulse diagnosis on me to find out exactly what my primary dosha type is and how I can become more balanced and not have any more yucky migraines, skin rashes and anxiety before bed. Afterwards, I’m doing a 30 minute acupuncture session! I can’t wait to share with yall everything that I learn!! =)
Tonight Ryan and I MIGHT be going to a dinner party given by one of the buck’s players at the hard rock hotel OR we might do something more casual (and earlier!) by ourselves because we have to get up at 6 to be on the road to my graduation! The ceremony is at the Marriot World Center in Orlando and I finallyyyyyyy get my nice new chef coat, diploma from Paris and my tall hat!
See ya later alligators—stay warm! My mom and aunt are officially insane and just went for a BEACH WALK even though its like 45 degrees outside. Not this girl. I’m drinking a cup of hot water with half a lemon squeezed into it and its definitely taking the “cold Florida chill” off. Hehe ๐

January 16, 2009 at 12:15 pmIt’s so funny that you think 45 is freezing! It’s all relative I guess.
Do let us know about the tiny needles. I’m intrigued!
I think Caitlin was looking for lessons on how to make her eggs benedict look like your beauties!
Enjoy your day off!!!!!!

January 16, 2009 at 1:48 pmI hope you hear lots of interesting and useful information at your appointment. Since I suffer from all the same problems I hope they could help me too.
I did that 70 min free class you were talking about. I thought it was okay. I am getting sick and wasnt feeling that great if that changes anything. I also felt like the transition from eagle to half moon pose wasnt explained very well I got really lost! ahh! But I liked the variety of poses. It involved poses that I have only practiced in my classes never in my downloads so that was good!
Oh and congrats on graduating! exciting!!

January 16, 2009 at 1:59 pmYour poached eggs look perfect… how’d you cook them?
I canโt to hear the feedback you get from the Ayurvedic Physcian, hopefully he/she gives you a lot of insight.
And a HUGE congratulations on graduating- Iโm sure you will look very cute, as well as, professional in your new coat and high hat!
Lastly, I have to admit that I am a huge fan of the hot water sipping. My boyfriendโs mother was told to do it from her acupuncturist. She convinced me to start doing it too- after few weeks I realized I started craving it. Now I drink hot water more than tea. I know some might say it doesnโt have any tasteโฆ but Iโm hooked!

January 16, 2009 at 7:34 pmI went to an aryuvedic doctor yesterday. I was a screaming Pitta. Amazing things. Will be interesting to see what yours says. No bananas for me. No egg yolks either. But I woke up this morning with my cup of hot water and grated ginger..amazing. Oh and no fruit with your meals…looking forward to comparing notes.

January 16, 2009 at 7:35 pmAs I was getting ready this morning I saw a commercial for Publix where they were talking all about their fresh, whole grain, made-from-scratch multi grain bread. I thought of you. ๐
