an update

Two days of skiing and snowboarding and no trips to the ER…I consider that to be a success.

There was one moment, however, when I thought I was dying on the mountain and howled to Adam:

“Just leaaaaaave me!!! Go on without me! Save yourself!!”

He told me to get my butt up.

I shed a tear.

Massages might be mandatory.

I have snowboard soreness today too! I just did some yoga to help it, and massages are great too. Hope you had a great time snowboarding! It is my favorite winter activity for sure.

Massages are always mandatory – and I’m pretty sure I am NOT a snowboarding/skiier … it never ends well. I’m also a coward.

    Omg sounds like a blast!

Glad there are no ER visits involved for you!

True story: the last time we were in Tahoe, my husband’s very FIRST run on the first mountain of the first day….he fell. And thought it “wasn’t that bad”. Went on a few more runs. Turns out he torn a huge muscle in the back of his calf. And we DID end up in the ER and that was the end of his/our ski trip.

Enjoy your massage and your trip!!!!!!!! 🙂

Hi, I’m new to reading your blog but I love all of the stories and recipes (and followed you on PFB). THis post gave me the biggest smile because I have totally had skiing days like that where I just want to cry, sit down wherever I am on the mountain, and be carried down and go home 🙂 I’m lucky that one of my families skiing spots is at Sugarloaf MT in Maine, which is right near my aunts house. She always has apres-ski drinks and appetizers for us that sort of cushion all of that pain. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

I agree! Skiing or snowboarding without a helmet (regardless of whether you are going down the bunny slope or off-piste) is reckless and scary!

    Jenna,
You have the most beautiful skin! I am sure much of that is because of your lifestyle…but I was curious as to what products/what routine you follow?

I have a very healthy diet and exercise routine but still struggle with my skin!
