Backfire

Hi friends!

Surprised to see me back so soon? Well so am I. Turns out we were on the 7th hole and all of a sudden, just like in a movie, a total MONSOON hits us smack in the face. I’m not talking about drizzles here, people, I’m talking about BIG FAT raindrops being pelted at us. Needless to say, we drove as fast as we could back to the club (we were in the total middle of the fairway when the monsoon started) and hightailed it out of there. I was soaked to the absolute core. Genius of me to wear white shorts. lol

It all started out so well though! I had packed lunch of a whole wheat pita with hummus, 2 tbsp guacamole and greens with the juiciest peach ever!

For beverages, we had FUZE and tons of water!

Ryan and my dad talked about manly things on the course while I sat back and drove the cart ;)

And then all went downhill very fast. I went straight to my parent’s house and jumped in a scalding hot bubble bath; dry clothes never felt so amazing!

I also snacked on a little of my Trader Joe’s “Tempting” trail mix (this stuff is rather tempting with the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and dried cherries!)—

And like I said, tonight my dad and I are going to the Ray’s game! My mom is out of town for work all weekend and I thought it would be nice to have a father daughter date night. We’re going to grab dinner somewhere quick beforehand and the game is at 6:00. I’m not a big baseball fan but I have to admit, the Tropicana dome is REALLY nice and Ryan’s parents were kind enough to give us their tickets for the night.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday—stay dry!!! ;)

I’ve said it before, but I love TJ’s trail mix! My favorite variety contains peanuts, chocolate chips, and dried raspberries (!!!).

Sorry to hear that your plans were spoiled by the rain, but it sure sounds like you started out having fun! What a yummy packed lunch! That peach looks soo good.

I’m just curious? What kind of tennis shoes are those? They look so comfortable!

Better white shorts than a white t-shirt. I got drenched once playing golf in a white tshirt on a first date. Embarrasing to say the least…

Yeah the rain today sure did come out of nowhere! I hate how it surprises us even though it’s still sunny out. Mister Sunshine needs to play some more!

That trail mix looks AMAZING!!! Definitely one of my favorite snacks :)

It started raining huge raindrops here too (all the way in Seattle) after a fantastic sunny day. What weird weather, but still looks like you guys had fun!
