Father daughter date was a success!

Unfortunately the Rays lost but it still was a lot of fun!
We caught a quick bite at a local Thai restaurant down the street pre-game. I had my favorite, Basil Tofu….extra spicy!

I was having a serious Thai craving and this tasted awesome!
We had great seats at the game, courtesy of Ryan’s parents, and it was really neat to sit so close to the field. I tried to catch foul balls on several occasions but with no avail. 🙁

Around the 4th innning, my dad got a beer and I got DIPPIN DOTS! I always get dippin dots at baseball games—I love ’em!

Just got home and am about to get in my jammies. I’m exhausted!
My profile was featured tonight on the Murphy-Goode facebook page!! Eeek! Can’t believe that a week from right now I’ll be in Healdsburg!!!!!

July 11, 2009 at 10:43 pmAww what a fun night with Dad! My dad and I spend time together by doing weird, extreme stairclimbing races, like running up to to the top of the Sears Tower and Hancock Center, haha!

I haven’t been to a rays game in FOREVER. I wonder if they’re gonna end up tearing down the Trop.. I hope they don’t 🙁 They should put that money into revamping The Pier! It used to be one of my favorite places to visit. Have a great day tomorrow! <3

July 12, 2009 at 12:04 amI am SO jealous that all these restaurants in your town seem to serve tofu–I can’t seem to find a single tofu-serving eatery in all of Alabama!

July 12, 2009 at 2:31 amWhat a fun date! You are so very lucky to be so close to your dad. My in-laws got rained out while golfing today also! We arrived at their house to see all their golfbags lying in front of fans in their garage.

July 12, 2009 at 9:05 amYou and your dad are adorable. Sounds like you two had a nice evening.
I was supposed to go out for a Thai dinner with a friend last night but I had to bail after the adventure we just went through with D – I needed to get to bed early. Can you recommend a healthy soy free dish that I can be on the lookout for? I have never been to a Thai restaurant but my friend is a huge fan. Good luck next week, you will do great. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

July 12, 2009 at 9:38 amI love a night at the ballpark, and I’m so happy that you can spend quality time with both of your parents. It’s a blessing to live so close. It seems like you have a special bond with them.
Basil tofu sounds awesome. I may have to recreate it for my honey and me.
Enjoy your Sunday!
