I am very happy to say that for the first time today, I am finally full!
Date night was so fun tonight!
Ryan and I went out for sushi, because all throughout March I missed it more than anything!! We went to a trendy place called Cafe Japon and everything was amazing. I started with a ginger salad and a glass of Reisling:
And then we ordered a HUGE spread!!! And proceeded to eat it ALL! =)
From the bottom: spicy lobster roll, “playboy roll” with spicy tuna, crab and fried shrimp, spicy yellowtail tuna with hot sauce, some cream cheese roll for R (the only one I didn’t try…hate cream cheese in sushi!), and a roll with spicy tuna and fried grouper. Everything was AMAZING!
Yep, I stuffed myself. But I was definitely not too full for THIS!
Cafe Japon was conveniently right next door to a traditional Italian gelato shop!! Oh, I was in heaven! You all know my love for gelato and this was the best I’ve had since Paris. And that’s saying a lot. They had about 50 different flavors and it was soooooo creamy and smooth. They also had a sign that said one small cup only equaled 131 calories!
I chose one scoop of tiramisu and one scoop of cookies and cream in a small cone and the boy got one scoop of chocolate hazelnut and one scoop of tiramisu. DIVINE!
Now we are home watching Madagascar on the couch. Crazy Saturday night, huh? This afternoon I snacked on a Chobani and then actually took an hour nap. It was awesome–
Tomorrow morning I am getting up early to Shred and do yoga! Ryan is intrigued by “shredding” and so I think he might do it with me. I warned him and told him it was a lot harder than he thinks but he just laughed at me and said “how hard can it be? Its a video and only 20 minutes!” HAHAHA well he will see tomorrow morning just how hard it can be! Jillian shows NO mercy!
Have a wonderful evening and I will see you in the morning! Remember, if you haven’t already gotten your Dessert E-Cookbook you need to!!!! Just donate $10 into my Team in Training fund and then email me at HelpJennaRun@gmail.com and I will send you over a copy asap. Not to toot my own horn, but it rocks! 🙂
Also, get excited because I am baking a big batch of my Super-Charge Me cookies for Meghann’s Blogger Bake Sale on April 6th! You know you want some… ! 😉

April 4, 2009 at 7:50 pmThe best thing about sushi is that it’s light enough to leave room for ice cream! Gelato is fabulous – and lighter than ice cream. There’s a place near my house that not only has gelato, but also has incredible European-style hot chocolate. I like getting a small gelato and an espresso-shotglass of hot chocolate.

April 4, 2009 at 7:56 pmOh, Jenna… please, please, PLEASE take a photo of Ryan getting his butt kicked by Jillian. My fabulous husband ate those same words when he did the video… LEVEL ONE, mind you… with me a few weeks ago. I would love to see some proof that it’s hard for our big, strong, men 🙂

April 4, 2009 at 8:08 pmThanks for the great blog! I know you had the You Tube link for Jillian’s workout, but was wondering if it was available for me to download. I am looking for some sites where I can download workouts that use hand weights and /or a stability ball. Any suggestions. There are so many and I would love a few that people have tried. Thanks

April 4, 2009 at 9:58 pmSushi and gelato= amazing date night!! I heart gelato as well, I had it in Florence and fell in love. I haven’t had any GOOD gelato since!
I can’t wait to see what Ryan thinks of the SHRED. My boyfriend tends to think it’s funny to watch me doing it and laugh at the comments that Jill throws out.

April 5, 2009 at 9:57 amThat sushi looks awesome and reminded me of a fun dinner I had with my sister and a friend a couple of weeks back. We ate at the restaurant that my sister works at and we ordered a big platter of yummy sushi that we shared. It was a fun evening but it would have been even more so if we’d topped it with gelato too though! 🙂
