Well, my dad just got here and I am about to head to school to set everything up for the buffet tonight. Currently my dad is cleaning out my air conditioning filter, which was quite gross. Ah, don’t you love it when the parents come into town? I just had to snack on one of the oatmeal raisin cookies today (along with fresh watermelon!!) and, despite the batter being very crumbly, the cookie was absolutely amazing!!!! Really really good….I am bringing another one with me for later on to have as a snack 😉
For dinner tonight I made Heidi Swanson’s Split Pea Soup. This soup boasts one of the shortest ingredients lists EVER (basically just water, split peas and onions) and it miraculously turned into an amazing bowl of thick, comforting soup. I had a big bowl before school with a toasted Ezekiel english muffin.
Alright guys—I’m off to school! I promise to take tons of pictures tonight! Hopefully everything will go well!!
Awwww look at little Dex all curled up in his kitty condo!

Dex looks adorable as always and his kitty condo is too cute.
I’m off to study for the night….”see” you in the morning! 🙂

April 25, 2008 at 12:50 amHey,
i just found your blog a few weeks ago and i have a quick question for you, i seem to have read a few times now that you have headaches, it seems like you have them quit often…is this something you worry about or just something you have always done? i guess it seems like a lot to me because i never get headaches, maybe 3 or 4 a year, just wondering.

April 25, 2008 at 2:42 amSamsy,
Unfortunately, I’ve had migraines my whole life. So has my mom and grandma 🙁 I’ve been to numerous neurologists, had tests run and the whole 9 yards and the verdict is that I am a product of bad genes in that department. I manage to keep them under control most of the time but it still is no fun! Diet, exercise and sleep really help!!!

I have never attempted to make my own soup yet – I guess I have always been intimidated. But you don’t beat that ingredient list.
