I’m trying all sorts of fun new things!
Like…fishing in creek holes, driving a tractor around, wearing extra large camo jackets and shooting mistletoe out of oak trees. Oh yes I am. I’m also eating some of the most delicious gumbo, crawfish etouffee and shrimp casserole ever.
It’s great, but I’m seriously wondering why I insisted upon getting a manicure before coming here.

Haha, I always seem to get manicures before I go on a rock climbing trip. No idea why I’m so bad at scheduling these things…

I love the photo and cute red boots! The country is so peaceful and serene … I just love it. The ‘slowness’ and quietness of life in the country just fills me up, and I’m a city girl, but swear I have country roots in me!

If you try a gel-polish manicure (the most famous name brand is “Shellac”), then it’ll last without chipping next time! (I work at a beauty mag as my day job, so we were all over this craze when it came out

It looks like you’re having an awesome trip! I grew up in a small town, and this post makes me miss it, driving around in the country at night looking at the stars, having bonfires in the summer, sigh!
