Can’t wait! Looks like you got all the good stuff though 😉 …currently deciding wheather or not to do a post about this soup I am about to make…. I need some blogging inspiration !? Been almost a month since I’ve posted… YIKES.
Eeeee! While I gaze lovingly at most of you sweets, it’s savory that will get me actually cooking. I’ve never had much of a sweet tooth, but something salty and cheesy… that’s worth losing your composure over.
I am such a fan of that phrase! I used to hear it all the time from my mom when I was growing up (is that weird?), and in college I also became a fan of “push your skirt down” when telling myself/someone else to just deal with it:)
Yeah this was supposed to be a savory week for me too… until yesterday, when I caved and ate half of a huge package of gummi worms. That’s what deprivation does to you.
Love it! Can’t wait to see what you have in store. I’m finding myself in a full mix of savory and sweet this week. One minute I’m making a big vegan soup or Indian meal, the next I’m popping homemade chocolate pastries in the oven.

Hi there,
I don’t usually post but I had a quick question. When you go grocery shopping do you already have recipes in mind or do you just pick up soome things and see what come up with?
i’ve gotta tell you, i love your normal sweet recipes, but i cannot wait for the savory ones. i don’t make desserts often – it’s a willpower thing. but i have a feeling your savory recipes will be good ones. i can’t wait!
I’m moving up from Orange County to Humboldt this weekend and will be passing through Healdsburg on Monday. Thinking about stopping at Cafe Gratitude for lunch before finishing my journey north. Would love your company (I believe you’ve mentioned being around there?), if you’re not took sketched out by this randomness!
Let me know if you want to plan anything. 🙂 My email is heatherezell@gmail.com. It’d be an honor to share a table with you! I’ve been a regular reader since 2008.

hi! I definitely still do meet-ups; I just haven’t had the opportunity to do one in awhile. I don’t think I can go all the way to healdsburg on Monday though (it’s about 30 minutes away), but if you’re in Santa Rosa, I’d love to meet you!
Actually, Santa Rosa is equally on the way! I think I’ll Santa Rosa late morning/early afternoon, depending on when I wake up.
I also can do Thursday eveningish if Monday doesn’t work, as I’m going to be staying somewhere in the area that night (I have a flight out of Oakland the next afternoon). Maybe I’ll stay in Santa Rosa?

January 6, 2011 at 1:47 pmThank God for savory food. I’ve been making desserts all day and if I take another ounce of sugar in I’m going to need to be put in a straitjacket.
