  • Well, if you want to watch something truly awkward, tune into my stories to see me put my makeup on camera. 🙈 But for real - here’s my May monthly makeup bag! Bronzer, sheer lip gloss, a shimmery brown eye pencil and a creamy tinted spf 20. Gosh, I love this stuff. Happy to help you pick some new product if you, too, want to make the switch to cleaner SAFER beauty. It’s so fun!! These products work, y’all, and it makes getting ready fun again (and only takes literally five minutes because who has more time than that????). Okaybye - sorry about the awkward up the nose shots on camera! 🤷‍♀️😂🤦🏼‍♀️
  • Gosh you guys, tonight we made these grilled ribeyes over arugula with lemon and Parmesan again and WOW, this needs to be on repeat all summer long. 🌞⛱ . . . Grab the recipe in my profile. This really is the perfect summer dinner!
  • I call this the TGIF salad with leftover Jamaican jerk pork tenderloin, avocado, arugula and citrus...and a morning glory muffin (and red wine) on the side. Muffin and pork recipes are from the Gourmet cookbook. This could be my favorite pork I have ever made. 😬😬😬
  • And just like that, he is FIVE!!! Happy birthday to the boy who made me a mom and who has expanded my heart above and beyond what I thought capable. You are a gift from God and we love you so very much. I can’t wait to see the “poet archeologist” you want to be one day! 💓💓💓
  • The boy who made me a mama turns five tomorrow!!! I can’t even believe it. Wasn’t it just yesterday I was pushing him in circles in the backyard in the stroller because #colic? 😂🤷‍♀️ He’s growing into a super creative and sweet boy! He loves buried treasure, every food in the world, pirates and Jesus. We’ve got one more month of preschool and then this guy is headed to kindergarten in the fall! Be still my heart. 💓💓
  • One day I will get amazing family photos with everyone looking at the camera and smiling, but until then I’ll take this with these two little rascals (the third is napping!). Being a mother is truly the best gift in the world. Happy Mother’s Day!
  • Grayson’s TREASURE CAKE!!!! Y’all this was so fun. I got the idea from the Penny Whistle Party Planner Book (that my mom used in the early 90s then sent to me). It was a HUGE hit at the birthday party today!!! All I did was bake two vanilla cakes in bundt pans and then stack them, cover with chocolate fudge icing and pour “treasure” (m&ms and chocolate gold coins) into the center so they overflowed everywhere. 🤗 I am sure I will repeat this cake for another kids birthday party in life - it was so easy and fun!
  • I am so obsessed with the age of six months. I never want Brooks to ever grow any bigger than he is today! The baby babble is in FULL FORCE (we call him a velociraptor 😂) and he loves to scoot along on his belly and just laugh, laugh, laugh. Oh, and the snuggles! I feel done having kids now but there’s just something about a big snuggly six month old that just does it to me. 🙃
  • Do moms actually like breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day? 🤔 While I like the IDEA of having a leisurely morning in my bed, let’s be real: it ain’t happening. What do moms really want? SOMETHING EASY. Preferably with ingredients laid out the night before (or made the night before and reheated - even better!) with painless cleanup (done by dad). . . . Friends, try these breakfast quesadillas this weekend! You can even prep them the night before, place in the fridge and then just reheat in the griddle in the morning. Guaranteed to be a hit with everyone at the table because, tortillas. 😬 . . . Grab the link in my profile. Don’t forget the double espresso! ☕️☕️
  • Y’all, today was a doozy (well, really only from 2pm on 🙃). If you have kept up with stories you know I’m trying to drop Luke’s nap to save our nights. I don’t know what has gotten into him these past two months but MAN, homeboy is just up all night these days. 🤷‍♀️ To ease the pain of toddler meltdowns, I slow roasted three pounds of tomatoes (they were probably a little before their prime but roasting them makes them that much sweeter!) and made some sauce. Because what else can we do in times such as these. This is actually @alisoneroman’s sauce that features the slow roasted tomatoes, anchovies and bucatini. If I had to pick only one pasta dish to eat for the rest of my days I would PROBABLY pick this. Wow it’s good (and worth the price of her cookbook alone!). . . . Waving the white flag of motherhood tonight and about to decompress with a long shower, face mask and my new Ruth Reichl book. Thank you all who entered the ice cream giveaway!
