Getting Between The Lines

Whew! It’s been a really intense day of writing. I sort of feel like I want to pull my hair out right now.

I met with Marcy for almost three hours and we totally dug and tore into the middle section of my book. I had sort of forsaken it during the past couple weeks to work on the beginning and end and knew it needed some special attention. And wow….yeah…I have A LOT of work to do. Like, a lot a lot. I could probably pull all nighters from now until the end of the month and I still would have a lot of work to do. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh πŸ™ I snacked on half a clif bar (sorry no photo) and a cappuccino while we worked. I’ve started to opt for the full fat cappuccinos at the coffee shop and, let me tell you, they TOTALLY blow away anything made with nonfat or soy milk. Pshhh!

I got home around 5:30 and found myself in front of the fridge, mindlessly picking at the cold leftover macaroni and cheese. I figured I might as well just make it a meal so I reheated it with a little earth balance and then threw a laughing cow wedge in there as well. SO GOOD. This is definitely the secret to reheating Annie’s mac & cheese—-laughing cow!

I also had some TJ’s baked tofu and, errr, a pear. No veggies. Oops.

After I ate I debated opening up the bottle of wine that my new neighbor brought over but then decided to be lame and have a cup of tea instead. I’ve had a dull headache all day and thought wine might just put me over the edge.

Oh, the choices!

I also had some Annie’s bunnies with pb and jelly. It reminded me that I want to buy graham crackers next time I’m at the store.

I think it’s time to close the laptop now and start again in the morning.
Whewwwwwwwwwwww

ps–my mom just text messaged me to tell me that “she just became a vegetarian”. Dad, I don’t think you know this yet so…surprise! And mom, now you have almost a million people to keep you accountable! πŸ˜‰

I’ve never liked macaroni and cheese leftovers because they just aren’t the same when reheated. But I’ll try your trick, because that sounds legit!!

I love Stash’s teas- at school, our grocery store stocks the herbal sampler, which I adore. The licorice is my favorite- so sweet, but in an unexpected, not-fruity way!

Yum…..laughing cow in Annie’s mac and cheese sounds soooo good. I find that it’s hard to get the sauce to “stick” to the pasta. My Annie’s mac is always better when I have my second serving or leftovers when the sauce is thicker and sticks better to the pasta.

Do you find the wriitng process more forced and strained with a deadline ,and more creative when just off the cuff?
I guess it’s a bit like what came first the chicken or the egg! πŸ˜‰

It just seems funny to read about you and Tina having to pump out pages for your book’s deadline.I think I always pictured writing a book more romantically (and less like homework!)

Curious on your thoughts! You are definitely a talented young blogger and I am sure your book will be just as lovely!Your words have drawn me to your site many a time.Best wishes!

PS Are you and Tina writing for the same publisher or are your similar deadlines just a coincidence?I was wondering if this is a publisher who is savvy to realize popular blogs mean a ready and waiting reading audience for book buying (if so, smart publisher to realize the far reach of blogs these days ,esp for a young female market!)

I have been making my own cappuccinos in the vitamix! They are just too easy! about 3/4 cup milk, 1 tsp instant coffee and 1 tbsp white choc chips and a little vanilla extract! But be warned, drinking them every day has me carrying around a few extra pounds! Don’t drink too many before you wear that LBD! You will need it to still fit! And I always used full fat milk and a squirt of whipped cream on top! Just went back to 1% so that I can still have them some days! Don’t stress about the book! You are doing so well with it! You will get it all done! I can’t wait to buy it!
