Behind The Butter

this week

my mom and dad are visiting from Georgia!

this means many things…including home-cooked meals, wine tasting and sleeping on an air mattress in the kitchen (which might, in turn, mean breakfast in bed for moi).

yay parents!

Now if I could only rid myself of this awful stomach flu, life would be grand.

    Sorry your not well 🙁

Sounds like your going to need an extra room soon 🙂 I actually use that as an excuse that I can’t accomodate visitors – hah! – my small apartment makes myself claustophobic let alone with others!

If your flu isn’t gone by the time they come, it will when they leave. Nothing beats a flu better than a mother!

I made your BF approve spicy BBB last night? And I’m going to give them an F+ (+ b/c I put a slice of cheese on them). Anyway, what am I doing wrong? Mine don’t look like yours. Yours look firm and burger-like. Mine are swampy and soupy, like oatmeal.

P.S: don’t anyone freak out, I give the recipe an A, my attempt is an F+

Oh no, hope you feel better! I actually just got over a funny lil stomach bug and every day (which was actually 14 days) I’d read your blog and admire the lovely food photos, and just pretend I could actually go home and make/bake it. That carrot ginger soup sounds perfect, sick tummy or not!
