my mom and dad are visiting from Georgia!
this means many things…including home-cooked meals, wine tasting and sleeping on an air mattress in the kitchen (which might, in turn, mean breakfast in bed for moi).
Now if I could only rid myself of this awful stomach flu, life would be grand.

Baking N BooksAugust 23, 2011 at 1:20 pm
Sorry your not well 🙁
Sounds like your going to need an extra room soon 🙂 I actually use that as an excuse that I can’t accomodate visitors – hah! – my small apartment makes myself claustophobic let alone with others!
Averie @ Love Veggies and YogaAugust 23, 2011 at 1:20 pm
Oh the timing…your parents visiting. And the flu. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe some of your mama’s home cooking or just being there with you will turn things around, asap for you 🙂

Did they bring you any peaches? My husband has family down there, and they brought us some the last time they came to visit. Mmm-mmm, they went quick! 🙂
Stephanie RoseAugust 23, 2011 at 1:31 pm
so exiting! When I was younger, I’d have friends sleep over we would sleep in the kitchen. Easy access to food!
Natalie @ Nitty GritsAugust 23, 2011 at 1:32 pm
Get your friend Jess to make you some Boston Cream Pie Cookies. It looks like those would make anyone feel better!

If your flu isn’t gone by the time they come, it will when they leave. Nothing beats a flu better than a mother!

Have a great time with your parents! You should sweet talk your mom into making you some homemade chicken noodle soup. That’s always the best cure! 😀

Jeni @ hippiewildmamaAugust 23, 2011 at 5:33 pm
I made your BF approve spicy BBB last night? And I’m going to give them an F+ (+ b/c I put a slice of cheese on them). Anyway, what am I doing wrong? Mine don’t look like yours. Yours look firm and burger-like. Mine are swampy and soupy, like oatmeal.
P.S: don’t anyone freak out, I give the recipe an A, my attempt is an F+

Oh no, hope you feel better! I actually just got over a funny lil stomach bug and every day (which was actually 14 days) I’d read your blog and admire the lovely food photos, and just pretend I could actually go home and make/bake it. That carrot ginger soup sounds perfect, sick tummy or not!
