Breakfast

Body Clock Tickin’

Happy Sunday everyone!

My body clock was ticking this morning and I woke up at the exact time my alarm usually goes off—-5:50. Wow! I didn’t mind though because Church was at 8:00 and this gave me time to shower, make breakfast and coffee and check up on my emails.

For breakfast I had one of my fantastic homemade bagels with pb&j!!!! Oh goodness, it was SO amazing! I split it, toasted it and slathered it with freshly ground peanut butter. I just don’t think I can ever go back to Thomas’ bagels ever again after eating this. So soft and chewy….yum!

After Church I needed a little snack so I stopped at my favorite coffee shop on the beach and got a non-fat latte, which I drank while I sat on a bench staring at the ocean.

I’m not sure what the rest of today will bring. A storm seems to be coming in from the north so that might alter my poolside plans. We’ll see!

Homemade bagel with freshly-ground pb & jam = HEAVENLY way to fuel up before church (pun intended?? probably, haha 😉 ).

Hope the storm holds off so that you can enjoy a sunny Sunday!! Wow I’m just FULL of bad puns today, aren’t I…

I am also jealous of your homemade bagel and freshly ground peanut butter! It puts my store bought pb&j + english muffin breakfast to shame!

I hope no one already asked this last night and I’m not repeating, but if I wanted to make smaller bagels than 4 oz (like 2 oz), would you adjust the startch bath or cooking time down? They look sooooo good, thanks for sharing the recipe, Jenna. Also, I bought Sabra hummus last night – for those of you who haven’t tried it, you must – it really does live up to the hype of best packaged hummus!

    Serena,

Nope—-just scale out 2 oz pieces of dough and keep everything else the same!
