California Wine Festival Giveaway

I’m giving away two tickets ($150 value!) to the California Wine Festival in Santa Barbara!

IMG_2109

The event takes place on July 17th and the lucky winner will enjoy live music, drawings for free prizes, and wine tastings. The hundreds of California wines to be poured include vintages from: Abundance Vineyards, Cambria, Core Wine Company, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Gloria Ferrer, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery, Murphy Vineyards and many more–plus Craft Brews, too.

To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me your absolute favorite wine. My favorite wine is Cambria Julia’s Vineyard Pinot Noir, partially because it holds sentimental value but also because it’s oh-so juicy and delicious!

The winner will be picked at random on Friday (6/25) by 10pm PST.

Note that the winner will still have to take care of his or her own travel accommodations—this is just purely a giveaway for two free tickets to the event. Also note that it is perfectly acceptable for the winner to take ME as their guest. Muhahaha

    Hi!

You know…I usually prefer reds, but since it’s so darned hot here in Seattle today, I’m going to say San Angelo Pinot Grigio. It’s just the perfect summer white!

I’m looking for any excuse to take a trip right now, so fingers crossed! ๐Ÿ™‚

Im always so scared to claim a favorite anything (music, food, movie, etc.) so this is a super hard question being that wine is such an important part of my life. That being said, I am really loving this Resalso I sell at my shop. Super reasonably priced red that pairs well with everything and pleases so many palates which always makesfor a pleasant get together. I also have my old love ofOreillys pinot noir… also quite reliable with a cutie pup label to boot!

I love Copolla Chardonnay. I bought it for my 21st birthday because it’s local and related to film, and it was a very lucky purchase!

Kluge Estate also holds a sentimental place in my heart.

Hmmm, let me think….oh yeah, Rombauer Chardonnay. Big, buttery, smooth and utterly delish.
Cambria Katherine’s Vineyard Chard is a close second though.

King Family Vineyard’s “Crose”, pronounced like Rose but with a “C”, located in Crozet, Virginia. We got married at their vineyard last September and their “Crose” is the perfect late afternoon/early evening summer sippin’ wine; crisp and balanced- best paired with cheese, berries, summer breezes, barefeet, long conversations, giggles and wasting time. What I wouldn’t give to be back at that vineyard with my husband and all our friends & family right now ๐Ÿ™‚

My fave white is prob bicyclette chard, nothing to fancy but it reminds me of college and when I first turned 21 and could buy my very own bottles of wine but had no idea what I was doing- so its a bit nostalgic for me. I don’t have a vineyard preference but I am starting to like merlot even though for a long time I was a wine snob and wouldn’t drink it solely bc of the line in that movie- which of course the name of slips my mind but I know it takes place near santa barbara :).

I am FROM Santa Barbara! And it just so happens that my current favorite wine is the Sweet Riesling (Santa Barbara County) from Municipal Winemakers. The wine is called SWEETIE…how great is that? Except apparently in the fall they got in trouble for using a name someone else had already trademarked. Ooops:

This looks like a perfect lunch too. Iโ€™m always looking for new vegetarian dishes for lunch because I try not to eat meat until dinner. Since Iโ€™m married to a meat eating airborne army man, a meatless dinner isnโ€™t an option ? Once I suggested meatless Mondays and he said, โ€œSure, we can eat fish on those days.โ€ Oy.

    Hello
I am definitely not picky when it comes to wine, and I canโ€™t say that I even have a particular favorite brand! My favorite varietal is definitely, hands down Pinot Noir. I love just about any Pinot Noir I have tried! I always get excited when I go wine tasting and I get to try a new one. Mmmm, wine! How exciting that this festival is in Santa Barbara, because I am an alumni of UCSB! Santa Barbara and wine = heaven on earth
