Sorry for my lack of posting, but I feel awful. Because of this, I haven’t been the best at taking pictures of my food in the past 24 hours but hopefully I’ll feel more like myself tomorrow.
Yesterday I finally made it to San Francisco around 5:00 and the boy picked me up from the airport and took me to eat some spicy Vietnamese food to try to clear up my congestion. We went to The Slanted Door over at the Ferry Building and I only wish I was feeling better because I think I really would have loved this place!

Unfortunately I couldn’t really taste or smell anything but it appeared to be delicious. I nibbled on some seared scallops—

And then ordered the rice noodles with dungeness crab for my entree.

After I took this photo I pretty much covered what you see here with sriracha sauce. I think it was really good. I need to go back when I can breathe!
Mehhhh I’ll be back!

May 10, 2010 at 12:24 pmHope you feel better…and um, that Asian lady in your first photo looks like Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy)!! I think it is her because she has a very distinct look. 🙂

May 10, 2010 at 12:27 pmI was in the same (bacterial) boat this weekend, except I didn’t have that meal waiting for me at the end of the day 😉 Nothing ticks me off more than not being able to taste/enjoy a meal like normal. It’s cruel and unusual punishment to have to eat with your eyes…
So, all I did was rest, rest, rest and eat, eat, eat and drink tea this weekend and today? Viola! Back to semi-normal. Get rest and get well soon! (Planes stink when you’re sick–a petri dish of germs in their own right.)
