Well, it seems like a few of you are in need of a doughnut pan.
I got your back!
After reading all your lovely responses to my new glazed cake doughnut recipe, I decided spur of the moment to hold a giveaway! I will buy two lucky readers the exact same doughnut pan from Sur la Table that I have. It’s non-stick and I adore it. You will, too!
Just leave a comment on this post (say whatever you like!) and I’ll pick two random winners tomorrow evening at 8pm PST.

February 17, 2011 at 12:28 pmMy boyfriend and I just moved into a new house and we’re renovating the kitchen! While the prospect of a new kitchen and new appliances are definitely exciting, it also means that our meals are a little uhhh … basic… as of late. Beans straight out of the can, anyone? But visiting ELR and looking at your awesome recipes is almost (almost!) enough to make up for my recent lack of creative meals.

February 17, 2011 at 1:20 pmI adore doughnuts! I spend a good portion of my paycheck on them. My mom while pregnant with me ate a ton of doughnuts because she says that’s all she craved. You can say I was destined to eat doughnuts since birth! I’ve been dying to try your doughnut recipes and even attempts to make them without a doughnut pan! (needless to say, they were oddly shaped).
Kimberly

February 17, 2011 at 1:22 pmMajor “do/dough-nut” question! What is the correct spelling? Is it donut or doughnut? Or are both acceptable? Not that I’m trying to be gramatically (sp? lol) correct, because trust me..I’M NOT! Maybe I should take a refesher course in 2nd grade..you know 2nd graders know the do and don’ts of the cakey-circle-shaped-dessert (yeahh..that’s what I’ll call them!).

February 17, 2011 at 1:23 pmIt’s funny about Krispy Kreme vs Dunkin Donuts. Being from the south, we would eat both – DD munchkins, variety pack of donuts, etc. And Krispy Kreme was a more of a treat (I also associate it with church). When I moved away, Krispy Kreme reminded me of home and I was happy when they started expanding everywhere. However, now I live in California, with plenty of access to Krispy Kreme, and I do find myself craving Dunkin Donuts some times. Although, I am definitely on the side of “hot now” Krispy Kreme is the best.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to run around town checking out kitchenware shops so these doughnuts will have to wait at least until the weekend. February 17, 2011 at 1:34 pmTotally Random Doughnut Factoid: My friends and I once drove 5 hours, in the middle of the night, across a couple state lines (from Maine to Connecticut) to arrive at the nearest Krispy Kremes just as it was opening. It also happened to be in a casino and I lost 15 bucks in a slot machine. Oh, and I still prefer a good Dunkin’ Donuts or grocery store cake doughnut to KK.

February 17, 2011 at 1:34 pmNot that I have room in my 700 square foot house for ANOTHER kitchen utensil, but I would love a doughnut pan! Every single one of the 20+ pounds I would surely gain would be totally worth it! At least, since I’ll have to store it in the basement, I’ll have to go up and down the stairs every time I want to make a doughnut. That’s win-win, right?

February 17, 2011 at 4:29 pmSo, when I had an easy-bake oven, there was a donut-making kit, and it came with donut pan that made a single donut. I LOVED that pan and thought it was the coolest thing ever.
So I guess what I am trying to say is that having a donut pan that would make more than one donut at a time? would be awesome.

February 17, 2011 at 10:58 pmDONUTS!! I used to eat FIVE krispy kremes at Sunday School. But of course, back then I was running cross country, so I could do that. And that was because my town didn’t have a Dunkin’ Donuts. But good gracious would I LOVE to make my own donuts!!

February 18, 2011 at 5:45 amStumbled on to your blog a few days ago in search of cupcake frosting help. Since then, I have read back nearly a year of your blog posts “catching up.” And last night, I made the most beautiful chocolate buttermilk cupcakes with buttercream frosting I have ever laid my eyes on. After reading your post on how to frost cupcakes, I immediately ran out and bought a star frosting tip. Standing in my kitchen yesterday with frosting up to my elbows and the clock ticking way past my normal bedtime, I made a decision to quit my job and become a cupcake queen. If I happen to get my hands on a donut pan, I may have to add donuts to the title as well.
