Merry Christmas!!!!

I pray everyone’s day is filled with happiness, family and laughter. I feel so blessed to be where I am in my life right now, surrounded by the sea and those that I love.
This morning I woke up and made my dad and I a Christmas bowl of oatmeal:

1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, Fage, almond butter and apple.
And then I made a new creation—hot cocoa in my coffee!

Yummy.
I started my Christmas in the best possible way—doing 90 minutes of power yoga while staring out at the ocean. Breathtaking! Lunch was another yogurt with some Kashi Go Lean, pom seeds and almond butter—

And then my mom and I took a loong walk. I love all the walking/hiking trails here. It’s a spiritual experience, actually.

I decided to do a little dance to celebrate baby Jesus’s birthday:

And then spied on the sea lions! I think I’m obsessed to a dangerous level. I want to pet one so bad….but know that would end up in a disaster, so I kept my safe distance on a cliff instead.

My mom almost had a heart attack as I climbed down the rocks. I actually tripped and skinned my knee and then sort of resembled a sea lion myself!

ouchhhhh!
Time to explore another beach in the area. Have a blessed day! 🙂

December 25, 2009 at 1:08 pmThat looks like Sea Ranch [of course, a lot of places along the coast look like Sea Ranch]. I live a block from the same kind of rugged coast…and in the Del Monte Forest…deer, sea lions, all the great sea gulls, pelicans, huge geese, wild flowers, dunes, rocks, that fresh air all around. LOVE California. Will miss when relocate to France 11/2010. So terrific you and your parents are having a wonderful time. Hope Dexter is, too! Great idea re cocoa-coffee! Off I go for my walk!

December 25, 2009 at 1:23 pmLove your sweater – It looks perfect for a walk by the ocean 🙂 It’s freezing rain and 30 degrees in Pennsylvania – I’m very jealous of your sunshine! I’m about to brave the elements and go for a Christmas Day run, eek.

December 25, 2009 at 1:24 pmJenna, Merry Christmas gorgeous girl!
P.s.-it’s not actually Jesus’s birthday today, i like to think of it as a celebration of the ideas he symbolizes (i.e. caring, sharing, forgiving)
