Breakfast

Ouchie

Good morning!

I’m glad you all like my tattoo……but it definitely kept me up ALL night throbbing!!! Ouch! A few of you asked about seeing my parents, and I did ask them, but they prefer to keep theirs private. I’m sure you all can understand.

Anyways, this morning I made my new favorite waffle breakfast-

img_7059

Combo includes 2 Kashi GoLean waffles, 1/2 cup 0% Fage, 1/2 banana, 1 scoop raw almond butter and raspberry preserves. SO freakin’ tasty and filling.

And here’s the breakfast I made for Ryan! Look familiar?! 😉

I made him two packets of Quaker Lower Sugar instant oatmeal and topped it off with a scoop of natural peanut butter. He has a long work day ahead!

I’m actually going to let my breakfast digest and then go for a short run this morning. My TnT training begins a week from Saturday and I want to be all ready and strong for it!

See you in a bit!

Hey! While I’m not doing the Nike women’s half w/ you, I do have my first meeting with TNT (I was about to spell out “TIT” hahahah is that appropriate to spell on here?!) at the end of May! It’s just an information meeting so I can get more info, obvi, but I’m really excited it! Good luck w/ your training!

The tat looks great too! My husband wants to get another one this month, he has one already, and I want to go with him to get one but I have no idea what I would get and I don’t want to get something just to get, ya know? I have been thinking about getting the trinity symbol on my ring finger under my wedding band. Your mom got her’s on her finger right? Did hers hurt real bad? Is it big? Just wondering if it was as painful as yours! I hate pain! lol

Hi Jenna, I didn’t see your post yesterday, but just wanted to say that I love your tattoo! Such a wonderful homage to your brother. He will always be right there with you, and I’m sure that, in Heaven, he’s currently feeling very proud of his sister. I hope your wrist feels better–I’m sure it won’t take long!

    Jenna,

I have been reading your blog for quite some time now. I really enjoy reading it every single day! I also read KathEats daily. Finally, I have decided to start my own blog. I was wondering how you find people to follow your blog? How do you put your website out there? Are there any helpful hints? Also, how are you asked to test products, is that just by luck?

Thanks!!! Hope your run goes well this morning! 🙂

      Mary,

Well, I’ve been doing this now for almost 2 years and in those 2 years people have just found me I guess. Its taken a lot of time and dedication and let’s just say I definitely put in at least 3-4 hour PER DAY on the blog…I really think of it as a job! Companies have found me because I’ve been around for awhile and trust my honest opinion for their products. Keep at it…it might take awhile but if this is something you really want to do, you will find peace and joy in it!

Good morning Jenna. It’s always so enjoyable to read your thoughts and see your pics each morning. 🙂

If I may give Mary a suggestion, when starting a new blog I would suggest developing friendships with other bloggers because commenting is a reciprocal practice. It takes time. Also–post at least every other day.

    Cheers,
    A @ Still Life

Take an ibuprofen such as advil for the pain it should help you sleep. I have always wanted to get a tattoo on my wrist and foot but I have always been scared as they are not fatty areas and look like they would hurt. One day I will do it though as soon as I figure out what I want. Yours is pretty by the way I cant remember if I said that already?

Greek yogurt, almond butter, raspberry jam, and banana is one of my favorite food combos. I go through wayyyy too many jars of nut butter and jam 🙂 In fact, all of my drinking glasses are recycled almond butter jars!

The pain will definitely subside! The tough part is keeping it covered so it doesn’t fade in the sun. I think they say it shouldn’t have immediate sun exposure for 6 months or something?

Your breakfast looks amazing! I’ve never tried those waffles before, but you’re making me crave them. 🙂

I can’t believe you’d never been to ikea either. What’s funny is that I got the exact same tent for my dog and he couldn’t figure out that he was supposed to go inside. He thought it was just a giant chew toy and I had to take it away because he pretty much destroyed it. 🙁

Good for you doing TnT! I’ve always wanted to do it for marathon, but I’ve been hesitant because I hate having to ask people for financial support. But recently the do-gooder side of me has been winning a lot more battles, so I think TnT is in my future. Seems like a great cause with so many great people and support. Congratulations and good luck with your training!

You’ve inspired me! I’ve actually made this same breakfast two days in a row now… except I use Chobani vanilla yogurt and frozen blackberries/blueberries. Let me say its filling for ummm about three hours then I’m definitely ready to gnaw my arm off.. LOL maybe its because I’m using whole foods organic waffles and not kashi…. hmmm maybe its time for a waffle swap
