Pour Out Your Heart

hey!

Oh gosh, I know I gush about this all the time but…….yoga was AMAZING this morning!! I love my Friday morning Yoga Grooves class. Its just, well, groovy! 😉 We blast aaaamazing music and just pour our hearts out in a powerful flow for 90 minutes. I felt so incredibly strong this morning…you know those days when you are just on? That was today for me. It rocked. Must have been that awesome pancake breakfast I had!

Lunch was yummy too—

This was awesome! It’s been sitting in my fridge now for weeks and now I’m wondering why it took me so long to eat it! I liken this to “tempeh bacon” if you have ever tried that. The marinated tempeh is formed into strips and perfect for topping a salad or stuffing a sandwich or…..

Wrap! I used an Ezekiel wrap here and stuffed 5 slices of the tempeh in it along with three big scoops of hummus, a ton of hot sauce and organic greens. So satisfying!

Delicious POM tea to drink!

I loooooove this stuff! So refreshing and delicious. Thanks, POM, for sending me some awesome samples!

Its been 24 hours and I’m already craving another Pumpkin Spice Latte like wooahhh. I feel like I’m in college again….its a dangerous addiction to have. I might have to venture out and “do some work” at Starbucks later….

So, this evening, I’m leading a bible study with a friend for a group of women struggling with addictions and off the street. Some of these women have escaped the sex trade or have recently gotten out of prison—it should be a very humbling and interesting experience. We are cooking dinner together then doing a bible study afterwards. I feel like God has pressed it on my heart to be there tonight and reach out, so that’s what I shall do!

Okay……Starbucks run!!!

Hey from Alaska. Listen, do you know what happened to Abby’s “Foods That Fit” blog? It’s been down for weeks? Loved her work out segments, especially the pics of Utah.

    Great job on your blog,

    Hugs,

What an amazing opportunity Jenna! I get a lot of updates on sexual trafficking because The Salvation Army is deeply involved but haven’t had an opportunity to work directly with the cause. I would love to hear more about how it goes.

    Hey Jenna,
I just read your article on how to prevent the flu and thought I’d throw in my two cents. I’ve had the H1N1 flu for the past week and a half and the main symptom that I’ve never had before with other flues was difficulty breathing… I had a lot of trouble inhaling and exhaling and never felt like I could take a full breath. My Mom had it too, and even had to go to the ER to get oxygen (she has an underlying condition which made the flu symptoms worse). I’m not sure how I got it — I wash my hands a lot and make sure not to rub my eyes/nose/face… but my doctor told me this is an extremely contagious flu and it’s very easy to get it, so who knows.

Wow yoga with music this is a new concept for me and I think I would really like it! I do Baptiste power yoga and I don’t think they have a “music” option but I’ll have to look into that. Good for you for having an “on” yoga day I can relate to that but today wasn’t totally my day I was too busy thinking about my full day to get in the zone! On another note I need to get on that pumpkin latte, I font know why I haven’t had one yet?! They are my favorite right next to the peppermint hot cocoa!

I live in NorCal, so it’s still pretty warm out and even though pumpkin spice lattes are back, it doesn’t feel like time for fall yet! Are you going to do a west coast version of the healthy living summit? I think it would be a great thing to do (maybe in spring) in SF!
