Breakfast

Rested Up and Ready to Go!

So, I def. slept for 10 1/2 hours last night. I think my body needed it to say the least! It felt sooooo good. I just ate a bowl of oats with almond butter, banana and 1/2 cup hemp milk, 1/2 cup water for breakfast and I’m going to wait a little while here before going to the gym. A couple of you all asked if Ryan is coming to visit me while I’m here and the answer to that is that no, because I’m going to Tampa tomorrow! This “job” was only a weekend thing :). I will be in Tampa with Ryan and my family for the rest of my spring break just relaxing and hanging out.

I didn’t end up reading Sula last night because as I dug deeper into the depths of the bookshelf, I came across only my favorite book of all time and one I have read twice already: Beach Music by Pat Conroy. I could pick that book up and start reading at any point and it was wonderful last night. If yall haven’t read this…you NEED to. Pat Conroy is my favorite author of all time and I’ve read every book of his at least twice.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday! I’ll check in after lunch before I head back to the kitchen!

Hi Jenna, I’m planning on making your “ultimate bowl of red” today but i couldn’t find hominy in my grocery store. Do you know of any substitutions that I can use? Thanks in advance!

    Hey Jenna,

I have been reading this blog for several months now, but this is my first time commenting. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job you do!

I have a few questions for Jenna or anyone else who knows. Does anyone know of any good whole wheat wrap brands? All of the ones I find have lard or some type of trans fat listed in their ingredients.

I was also wondering if anyone knows of a good hummus recipe?

The last question is….does anyone have Jenna’s Swiss Oatmeal recipe saved that could post it here? It used to be in the recipe section, but was taken down before I ever printed it out. Thanks everyone!

    Christine,
Hominy is pretty close to “white corn”…Jenna mentioned that hominy can be tricky to find..so corn is a good substitution (provided that you like it). The “ultimate bowl of red” looks awesome, let me know how it goes!
