Sweatpants Anyone?

Hi guys!

I am in real need of busting out the elastic waist pants right now.

Bleh. I’ll tell you why in a second! First of all, this afternoon Ryan and I met our friends Derrick and Amy over at NFL Experience right by the stadium. I had NO idea about how big of a deal it was!!! There must have been thousands of people there and we stood in line for an hour just to get a ticket in. I snacked on a pear and this new granola bar on the way because I knew dinner wouldn’t be til way after my bedtime ;)—

I was asked by Foodbuzz to review this bar and I LOVED it. I actually got the pleasure of tasting one a while back when I attended the Quaker heart healthy weekend in Chicago last fall and was so glad to get another! These are awesome. Usually I’m not a big fan of granola bars because they don’t really do anything for me, but this is decadent. I loved it!

Once we were in, there were all sorts of “games” to partake in such as throwing, catching, passing and kicking the football. Here are some highlights!

Once the sun went down though the temperature dropped about 20 degrees and Amy and I were FREEZING our bootys off!!!!! We managed to find a vendor that was selling hot chocolate so we each got one and gulped it down for warmth!

I hadn’t had a hot chocolate in forever and this was a nice treat! SUPER sweet though—I think my taste buds have just changed from when I was younger. It almost tasted too sweet for me!

We left the NFL experience around 7:00 and walked the six blocks back to where our car was parked. We all were pretty hungry, tired (especially ME!) and cold at this point so the four of us drove over to Greenwise (obvi) to pick up a quick dinner. Everyone else got pizza but I wasn’t really in the mood so I got sushi instead. Here is my brown rice spicy tuna roll, fresh seaweed salad and I just had to sample a “tiny” slice of Amy and Derrick’s pesto/feta/olive/bacon pizza. 🙂

But then the jean buster finale came out in the form of a chocolate peanut butter cheesecake that Ryan got for dessert from where else but the Greenwise bakery. He has been wanting to try one of these bad boys ever since the store opened and I see them everyday and drool a little bit. Its small enough to fit in the palm of your hand but VERY rich. We split it and I enjoyed every single rich, creamy, amazing bite.

All of this food + a glass of pinot noir makes Jenna a very very very sleepy girl. Amy, Derrick and Ryan are still in the other room watching tv but I had to call it a night because my eyes started to burn and I was about to nod off. Damn 3 am wake up calls! We were going to go to the party but found out that it is $300 a person. Um no. Not in this lifetime!!! At least tomorrow I can sleep in a little bit. I think I’m going to get up and do yoga before church again like last week and then make those pancakes I’ve been thinking about all week!

See you tomorrow! Have a great night!

That sushi looks great! Love that you could get a spicy tuna roll without all of the mayo … just the spiciness drizzled on top. And that cheesecake looks totally worth it!! Sleep well 🙂

Your title made me laugh. I felt like that last night as well, but I only wish I could say it was due to such an amazing sounding dessert. My problem was Brussels sprouts. One too many at dinner. 🙂

Hope you got in some yoga before church this morning. Happy Sunday.

PS – I tried the Hearth Healthy serving of oats. Oh my gosh, I was full for 7 hours. That extra bit made a huge difference!
