Welcome to the new Eat, Live, Run!
After taking a couple years off, I am extremely excited to be back in the blogging world. Some of you probably realized my secret via Instagram a few weeks ago — I’ve been trying to keep it on the down low as we worked on the site. It’s been a labor of love, for sure! I am extremely thankful for the team I have, especially my tech savvy husband, who have worked so hard to get things going lately. Let’s just say navigating through and organizing almost ten years of posts and recipes into a more user-friendly format has been….interesting. π There are definitely some glitches and kinks to work out, and we still are nowhere near “finished”, but I couldn’t wait another day to show you guys.
I hope you’ll find the recipe section much more easy to navigate now! The new recipe index makes it much easier to find a quick chicken recipe for dinner, or the perfect brownie for your kid’s school function. We are continually working on improving the experience with all of that, so expect to see more upgrades soon.
So…what to say after being gone for so long? I stopped blogging because I felt exhausted and burned out. I was trying to juggle too many things and put a lot of pressure on myself, which contributed to the burn out. In the past two years that I haven’t blogged, I have gained valuable entrepreneurial experience, as I tried something new and out of my comfort zone. I enjoyed the position that I held as an online fitness coach and made amazing friendships along the way. I don’t regret a second of the journey because it’s all a journey in self-growth and discovery, and it’s been wonderful.
That all being said, through a lot of thought, journaling, prayer and meaningful conversations, I made the decision to leave my previous job position and come back to the blog full-time. I realized how much I missed this space and this community. I missed sharing recipes, connecting with readers and working on food photography. I missed cooking, really cooking! I missed the photos and the conversations…I missed you.
My dream for this space is that it could again be a caring, interactive community where I share new recipes along with bits and pieces of our life. If you’re new here, welcome!!! And if you’ve been a reader for years and years, welcome back. I appreciate your support way more than you could ever know.

February 13, 2017 at 8:22 amI’ve been waiting for you to come back for YEARS! Shoot me an email or message me if you wanna talk blogging <3 The community is all here for you! WELCOME BACK <3 <3 <3
To be honest, your recipes on your site were some of the BEST I made over my many years of cooking from blogs. And some of your recipes are STILL my go-tos. When you stopped blogging, I printed tons of recipes out because I was worried they would disappear! Your meat sauce with tons of peppers? LOVE. Your chai lattes and chai shakes? Yep, still making those! You have an amazing palate and your kitchen skills can't be denied! The world is definitely going to be more delicious now that you're back π

February 14, 2017 at 1:39 amThis is the greatest news! I have been an avid reader since 2009, when I discovered your smashing blog whilst lonely and living in Ulaanbaatar. I have continued to read whilst living in Beijing, Sydney and now in Shanghai. Glad you are back and delighting the internet once again π

February 14, 2017 at 6:06 amHooray!!! I am so excited! If you could get Caitlin to come back too, life would be complete again. (Hehe!) In the two years since you stopped blogging I got married and had a baby in July too! Loved your Instagrams wearing all the babies- but it will be great to read full posts again too. Can you please discuss your wraps and making baby food in future posts? We are starting solids and I’m boring and just purer steamed veggies and fruits but pediatrician said to try adding in herbs and spices and I’m at a loss. Yay again!

February 14, 2017 at 6:24 amHurrah!! This is wonderful news, like so many others it seems, your delicious recipes and the sweetness with which you discuss life are so good and so appreciated when shared. My go to recipes are the chicken pot pie, the almond butter cookies and the chilli… Bring in the next round of family favourites! Hope the return is as enjoyable for you as it undoubtedly will be for us ??

February 14, 2017 at 7:22 pmI’m so glad you’re back, Jenna. I read your blog all through college–you were my first real blog love. (Since it’s Valentine’s day and we can be all cheesy.) I went to the blog for your vegetarian soft taco recipe–one of my all-time favorites–and here you were! I’m so excited to come check out your site on the regular again.

Congrats! ; ) I cannot tell you how many of your recipes I and my little family have made, cooked, baked, bookmarked, printed and thoroughly enjoyed…..they’ve never let me down and are consistently delicious, easy, and super approachable. I look forward to many more yummy/new recipes and your posts with undoubtedly witty delivery and content. Best to you always! : )

February 16, 2017 at 8:23 amYay! I was way too excited to see that you’ve started blogging again. Your blog was one of the first ones I started reading, and always one of my favorites. Also, I think it’s so important, and takes so much courage, to explore different possibilities in life (career and otherwise), instead of just staying on one path without taking any risks. Good for you!

June 28, 2017 at 4:25 amWelcome back! This is the highlight of day! Or even year π your blog was my absolute favorite and I read it faithfully for years!! I was so bummed when you quit blogging, but completely understood your need for a change. I got married and had kids similar to your timeline and those things definetly changed the dynamics of things and altered my passions and goals. I came here to find your recipe for Whiskey Walnut Brownies that I remember reading about but never made and I happened to have some
Bourbon and remembered that recipe and thought I should check your recipe archive. I I was super stoked to see you’re blogging again!! I’m looking forward to your recipes!
