Wish Me Luck!

I’m here! I just got in to Vero Beach and settled in a little in my guest room, which is more like a house if you ask me because it has three rooms AND a patio with this view:

I snacked on a super-charge me cookie on the drive and when I got in I decided to save the chili for later (dinner?) and have an almond butter/jam sammie instead. All I have to say is OH.MY.GOD! Betsey, you were totally 100% without a doubt right! This almond butter WILL change your world. It blew any peanut butter I have ever tried away and now I know I can never go back. There are little bits of crunchy almonds in it and the taste is sheer heaven. I had to stop myself from slathering half the jar on my sandwich! ahhh soooooooo good! I also had a big crisp apple. Now I’m about to get into my chef uniform and get at it! Pardon me ahead of time if I can’t get to your questions this weekend. I will answer them as soon as I have a minute, I promise!

Wow! That’s a gorgeous view. I’m so very jealous at how warm it looks!

Glad to hear you’re enjoying your Almond Butter! Isn’t it fantastic? When I first tried it, I didn’t go a day in a whole month without eating it! I forgot completely that peanut butter existed. Raw almond butter tastes amazing too if you can get your hands on some.

hahaha-I’m not surprised by your reaction. There is something about the Whole Foods brand that is particularly fantastic. And those huge chunks…I think i’m going to have some now.

Your little guest “room” sounds totally fab and luxurious. I hope you get to enjoy it during your town time!

Question about the Nature’s path pb granola for Jenna or anyone who’s tried it…I bought it a week ago and it’s def. delicious but although it claims to have 11 servings I got only 5 or 6 servings?! The box is already empty! I actually measured out the 1/2 cup servings which I normally never do with cereal but with this for some reason I did. Anyway, did anyone else notice this? I’m going to go out and buy another box today but just kind of annoyed about the claims on the packaging…i guess it’s kind of like the kashi cereals.

What a beautiful view!!! I am so jealous – it’s absolutely freezing here in Boston (and snowing!) I can’t wait to move somewhere warm and sunny when I’m done with school! I absolutely love almond butter too. I buy the raw organic kind and it is so delicious! Enjoy your day and have fun! I can’t wait to hear all about it 🙂

hi jenna! good luck, have fun and relax! i’ve been following your blog for some time now and i just wanted to applaud you on your decision to become veg/vegan. after many years of meat eating, i’ve also decided that it’s not the best thing for either my health of my conscience. i’ve been making the transition into the lifestyle and being an avid cook like you, i’m interested in purchasing some vegan cookbooks. after seeing all of the delicious-looking and creative dishes you’ve made from veganomicon and ed&bv, i really want both! but as my budget permits, it’s one at a time for now. which would you recommend that i purchase first? i’m interested in hearing anyone’s opinion on either/both books! thanks so much in advance!

I’ve got to try almond butter! I’ve always been so addicted to peanut butter, and never could imagine anything coming close to it, but now that you raved about it, I’ll have to pick up some almond butter next time I go to WF.

And wow, that view is incredible! You’re going to have a great time!
