Hey guys!
I hope you all have enjoyed your Sunday. Mine was thoroughly spent basking in the sunshine…for a little too long.
My tummy is unfortunately a bit on the burned side now despite sunscreen. Meh
After a great church service I grabbed some Panera for lunch!
No matter what, Panera will always remind me of Freshman Year of college because it was seriously the ONLY restaurant in the whole town of Elon. I haven’t been there in a while (ummm years) because I got pretty burned out on it, but today I was pleasantly surprised by their sweet new menu options! I got the soup and sandwich combo with the Mediterranean sandwich + cup of black bean soup. it was awesome!
As for the rest of the day, we headed up to Ryan’s parents house because Ryan had the awesome job to clean out the fishpond. Erin and I let the boys get dirty in the mud while we basked in the sun. Obviously.
(that’s Erin, not me. lol)
I read an entire stack of Food & Wine while chugging water to stay hydrated—
And ate a Pure Bar around 3:30—
After a few too many hours in the sun, it started to pour on the way home!
Yep, that’s Florida for you!! Sunshine one minute and a monsoon the next.
Dinner was very casual and delicious—egg and cheese sammies on Ezekiel bread!
I can assure you it tasted as good as it looked! I used some of the Wisconsin extra sharp cheddar + 1 egg. Soo good and simple!
There may have been some Edy’s for dessert….
I actually have a bunch of work to do tonight so I’m about to take a bubble bath, get in my jammies and get to it. I hope everyone had a great Sunday and I’ll see you in the morning!

Oh my goodness…The pool at Ryan’s parents house. Gorgeous! I called my parents in to see because we just bought a lot and are building and definitely putting a pool in
I am loving it!
The egg and cheese sammie looks delicious…what a great combo, eh?
I am so glad you enjoyed your Sunday…even though it was rainy. It was rainy here in New Orleans, too. Night!
Megan,
Nope–that’s just a channel that leads out to the Gulf.
Oh man, I used to love Panera, but then I worked there for a summer and now I can’t stand it. Ah well.
A bubble bath and jammies sounds wonderful. I love quiet working nights!
Wow! That pool looks amazing! Is it right next to the ocean? Panera is my favorite fast food/fast casual restaurant. Unfortunately there are NO locations in NYC
I guess I’ll have to wait until I visit my parents in Pennsylvania. Have a great night!
Oh my gosh, that pool = vacation! Love the looks of your sandwiches too.
Looks like a fabulous afternoon! When I come visit can we go to Ryan’s parents’ pool?! How beautiful is there place??!
Erica,
LOL anytime sista!
Panera is always my go to restaurant when I have to get something quick at a chain. I love the veggie sandwich and french onion soup without the croutons and cheese. My favorite!
I get the same thing when I go Panera! I didn’t know you went to Elon – I looked at that college last summer and thought it was GORGEOUS
Dang I am jeal of your afternoon!! Have a great evening!
I feel similar about Panera! We went there for lunch literally every day of my old job. I can barely stomach it there days!
Your afternoon looks amazing!
I just LOVE Panera! The Mediterranean sandwich is my favorite item, but I have yet to try that bean soup. Sounds so good though!
What a fun way to enjoy the sun. That pool is just gorgeous!
Good luck on your work this evening!
Just stumbled upon your blog. You are so darn cute! I am enjoying your posts and am having fun looking through your past ones.
Rascal Flatts were so good when I saw them in concert! I hope they were for you as well!!
that backyard looks a-mazing! And it’s not just florida…we had sunshine and then a huge afternoon monsoon up here in NY today too!
You just ordered what I order when I go there (which is usually when we’re on a road trip as they have heaps of healthy choices). I love the look of that egg and cheese sandwich!
The weather IS crazy! We went to see Harry Potter. By the time we got out it was POURING outside. Luckily my hubby is a gentleman. He ran through the rain to get me a towel and umbrella so I wouldn’t ruin my silk shirt. He’s the best!
That looks like such a great Sunday! Have a great night!
I love Panera’s Mediterranean sandwich!
And I agree with Erica … their place looks awesome!
Florida is so gorgeous! Weird how it is sunny one moment and then turns rainy!
Oooh, yum yum, maybe I shall have that delicious egg sammy for lunch tomorrow
sunshine/monsoon in Toronto too!
Love the pool.
Eggy sammies for supper are The. Best.
That’s exactly what I get when I go to Panera!! Their black bean soup is soooo yummy and filling! Glad you had a good day by the pool before the rain started
Holy crap, Ryan’s backyard is right on the water. What an amazing view!
Oo!! The egg & cheese sandwich looks really good!! Sorry you got burned!! I love Panera! Looks yummy!
I am always so jealous (in a good way) when I see pictures of your surroundings – you are so lucky that your everyday life is the kind of lifestyle that people want to go to on vacation!
MarathonVal,
Ahh yes but the grass is always greener on the other side. I would trade it in a second for mountains!!
How do you make such a perfect sammie?? What do you grill it in?
shutupandrun,
Ryan has a panini press. its awesome!
omg that sammie with the fruit on the side looks like the perfect meal! delicious!
-muffy
why do your paninis always look so much better than mine? JEALOUS!
Love, love the looks of the sammy’s. I do need to get a George Foreman or panini maker. I’m jealous of all the pool/beach you get! Have a great week
Looks like yet another delicious lunch! I’ve been so envious of your life the past couple of weeks and after seeing that pool?!?! can we trade lives? haha love the blog
that pool is beautiful! i got monsooned on while bike riding today – gotta love july weather.
good luck with your work tonight!
That pool looks like a dream!!!
Hey Jenna!
Looks like you had a great sunday!
So i was hoping u could help me out with a little dilemma im having. I’m about to go into my freshmen year of college and i intend to continue practicing bikram. since i’ll be a busy college student i know that i can only attend 3x a week . . . (maybe 4 if im feeling ambitious and im not overloaded with work)
do u think that is enough exercise in general and enough exercise to build lean muscle and maintain/lose weight?
Thanks Jenna <3
Wow. What a beautiful and fun day!
That pool is *lovely.*
that backyard is INSANE! lucky girl!
. I really like panera’s tomato and mozzerella on ciabatta, so yummy!
That pool and landscaping is awesome! What a great family to be dating, right? haha.
You are a girl after my own heart, Miss Jenna, flaunting that egg sandwich around. Yum!
I think I would prefer Florida’s unpredictable weather over Ohio’s unpredictable weather almost any day! Sunny Florida days are 10X more gorgeous than sunny Cincinnati days
I have the mountains, you have the beautiful ocean…..lol I love the water. We do have some beautiful lakes though.
Nothing better then spending the day floating in the pool…ahhh, so relaxing
I’ve been wanting to get a panini grill, your sanwich looks so perfect!
your lunch is my panera meal at least once a week (i might be exaggerating lol) but its my fav! so it the strawberry smoothie and the cinnamon crunch bagel
xoxo
lo
I also love that sandwich from Panera! Panera is my favorite place when I need food food fast!
Those sandwiches look like they’re straight out of Food and Wine themselves! Beautiful presentation – especially with the fruit on the side.
And yeah – hah. Ya gotta love that crazy FL weather right!?
That mediterranean veggie sandwich is SO GOOD. To me, Panera is head and shoulders above those other soup-sandwich places (Corner Bakery, Atlanta Bread, etc.).
That pool area is gorgeous!!!
Totally making that egg sandwhich this week. It looks so good!
Annndd…that pool rocks!
Wow those videos are AWESOME!! It’s like we were there in California with you!!
Hi! What a great Sunday! I’m a Florida girl also. I love our afternoon summer showers.
