Hi!
Whewwwww Texas!
Thank you so much to all who came out to my little shindig last night. I had a blast meeting all of y’all! We took about three hundred and fifty photos, but I think these can pretty much best sum it up. There were new friends, old friends, puppies, champagne, cowboy boots, chocolate chip cookies and sweet tea vodka. I couldn’t ask for more.
Thanks for such a warm welcome, Austin! I feel like I’ve come home….at least home to the heat and humidity. I hope I didn’t drip sweat on anyone too much last night; this misplaced Southerner has been away for way too long!

Love the party favors! Wish I could have joined you, but I’m four hours away and it’s a bit of a hike in the middle of the week. Maybe next time! I do love Austin.
It was great meeting you last night! and the cookies were absolutely amazing!!
What kind of sweet tea vodka did you use, may I ask? My friends had a bad experience with some kind of it, but it still sounds genius to me.
What a fabulous time! Thank you for sharing!
Donde esta? I feel like I recognize this bar and was there last Autumn but I couldn’t be sure…what’s it called??
Also: I dripped sweat on everyone for a year straight when I lived in Austin. Summer there is not for the faint of heart. Love your dress!

You+man=so damn cute!!!
I would LOVE to go to Texas some day. Don’t you love that no matter where you go in the world, you’re going to “know” someone because of blogging? I just think that’s amazing!
Is that an Aggie ring I see on Almanzo’s hand? My husband is obsessed with his, too. I didn’t know what I was getting into with a guy who was so fiercely loyal to his school like those boys are!
Love the last picture. Such a cute couple! My best friend just moved to Austin and I can’t wait to visit
Looks like so much fun! And those boots are so cute on them. I don’t think I could pull off the cowboy boots…even though I’m a born and raised Southern gal.

Maybe it’s the man, the natural light, and the cute new dress, but you look extra gorgeous in those pictures girl! Texas suits you apparently!
Sounds like so much fun! And I LOVE your dress!
Looks awesome! As a Northerner the first thing I noticed about Texas was (I came back from Dallas 3 weeks ago) everyone is SO NICE! People are not that nice in the NYC metro area.
And all I did down there was eat tacos and drink margaritas. Yeah, It’s not so bad down there.
Nothing like a nice refreshing glass (or jug) of Sweet Tea vodka….delish! Looks like a fun evening!
Thanks again Jenna it was so much fun! And it was really great to meet everyone!

I have the same dress!! It’s from anthropoligie for everyone who’s asking!
Looks like so much fun! Love that last pic of you two. And I’m super jealous you gave away cookies. I think your next adventure should be an Eat Live Run national tour! Perhaps surrounding your book launch? (Sorry, I’m in PR and think this way
)
Great picture of you and Almanzo at the end there
Looks like a blast! Wish VA was closer to Texas!

I just might need a life…I couldn’t wait to see a Texas post. lol Just another place I’d like to go someday. Two things:

Cutest party ever!
Oh and seeing these pics of you verifies how out of touch with my google reader I’ve been in August because I just thought “man her hair is realllllly long”
Looks like you had quite the turnout at the blog event! Not to mention delicious tacos. I think Texas is worth visiting for the vairety of speciality hot sauces alone.
How fun! I love the cowboy boots shot!

So glad you bought that dress from Anthro – I’ve been lusting after it for a while but strapless dresses just aren’t my thing. I’m glad it found a good home.

That looks like such a fun night! And your Anthro dress is adorable!

I love Almanzo’s Aggie ring. I go to Baylor (just an hour and a half from Aggie Land) so I know all about those! Austin is one of my favorite cities in Texas; so many great places to eat with fun personality!
You honestly have the best dresses!
It is funny because I didn’t even have to read the headline of your blog post to know you were in Austin, TX. I love Austin, TX and if I could I would so move back there in a heartbeat!
You and Almonzo….adorable!!
Sooo adorable!!
Now PLEASE take us all out of our misery and tell us where did you find that beautiful dress ?? !!

Beautiful pictures! You and Adam make for a gorgeous couple!
I dream about going to Austin!! So glad you are sharing it with us so I can live vicariously through you!
This post made me smile from ear to ear. You look so happy and beautiful in all of the pics, and I absolutely love that last shot of you and your boy. Too cute!
So glad you had a blast!
What a lovely little party! I love the “Welcome Home” sign!
Yum! The tacos look amazing and it looks like y’all had a lot of fun!!
Ohmygosh. I just discovered Arnold Palmers (sweet tea vodka and lemonade) last weekend. Sooo delicious! Deadly since you can barely taste the vodka haha
I wish I was in Austin! I went last summer with my best friend and the two of us are dragging the rest of our friends there to celebrate our 40th birthdays next year. If you have a chance, some of the best food in Austin is found at food trucks. Two that I highly recommend are The Mighty Cone (on South Congress), and Torchy’s Tacos. I dream about Torchy’s! You can’t go wrong with the trailer park taco and fried chocolate chip cookie dough! Enjoy your time in Austin
Your boyfriend is an Aggie, Gig ‘em!
Super cute Anthro dress selection, btw. Looks like a great partay!
Sounds so fun!! I love your dress too. Green is one of my favorite colors to wear!
I love that Anthro dress! Unfortunately it was a little big on me, and Anthro + alterations is a bit out of my budget right now!
You had me at golden retriever! Love it! Great pics too BTW!
Love your dress- looks like a lovely trip so far
I’ve always wanted to visit Austin, but now I really want to visit Austin.
